A version of its own office suite for the iPad has reportedly been completed in Redmond and should be available within a few weeks. It looks similar to OneNote and uses a tiled UI known as Metro. Files will be able to be edited both offline and online. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word are soon to be in the App Store. However, Microsoft officially denied the information about the Office package for iPad.
I hope that MS will finally release their Office for iPad. So far I'm struggling with Pages (and I'd rather wait for the desktop), but sometimes I have to write on the iPad too, and Pages is really terrible... In addition, it's not easy to get it to the desktop and finish it in Word afterwards (even if Office 2011 for Mac also doesn't reach the quality of its little brother from Windows, it's still the best office suite, it's just a shame that One Note is missing).
