The ten-inch iPad Pro that was presented on Monday, although it comes with the same chip equipment as its bigger brother, but when it comes to performance itself, there are minor differences. The same applies to the operating memory. Compared to that the newly introduced iPhone SE it is as powerful as the latest models in terms of testing.

For smaller differences in the performance of iPads and the size of the operating memory pointed out Matthew Panzarino of TechCrunch, who tested both new products from the Apple workshop – the smaller iPad Pro and the iPhone SE – using a special application. Both products have 2GB of RAM, according to his data, which means the iPhone SE is on par with the iPhone 6S in this regard. On the other hand, the 2-inch iPad Pro has only half the operating memory of the larger model with XNUMX GB.

Apple traditionally does not publish the size of the RAM, so we will have to wait for the definitive confirmation of this data, however, on its website, the company revealed at least the differences in the performance of the A9X processors that both iPad Pros have. It turns out that the smaller one is slightly underclocked. While the 13-inch iPad Pro is said to have a 9x faster CPU and 7x faster GPU with the A2,5X chip against the A5, the 10-inch iPad Pro is "only" 2,4x and 4,3x faster, respectively.

So on paper, the smaller iPad Pro lags behind both in operating memory and in the performance of its chip, but in real use it might not be so noticeable. The culprit may be a smaller body, which might not be able to tighten the onslaught of heat, so the performance is a little lower.

On the contrary, the iPhone SE is completely in line with the latest and most powerful models. In tests, it showed the same powerful processor as the iPhone 6S, and thanks to the same large RAM, it balances playfully.
