If you've been on the Internet for at least a while today, you certainly haven't missed the information about the massive attacks that took place primarily on Twitter, but also on other social networks. It is this topic that we will address in the first news of our regular IT summary, in which we look at information that is not related to Apple every weekday. In the second news, we will then inform you about how Sony has increased the production of the upcoming PlayStation 5 console. Next, we will look at the milestone that the successful battle royal game PUBG managed to cross, and in the last news, we will focus on Tesla. So let's get straight to the point.

Massive attacks on Twitter and other social networks hit the world's largest companies

As I already mentioned in the introduction – massive attacks on Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp or LinkedIn have been noticed by almost everyone who connected to the Internet today. Hacker attacks have conquered the accounts of the biggest companies in the world, and at first glance, they offer followers a great opportunity to make money. Hackers posted posts on the accounts of global giants, both companies and individuals, urging followers to send a certain amount of money. He had twice as much to return to them afterwards. In order to remain anonymous, the hackers demanded bitcoins from the followers, which were supposed to double after the deposit. So if the follower in question sent bitcoins worth, for example, $1000, they should have received back $2000. This whole "event" was limited to a period of thirty minutes, so only those users who were currently in their accounts were to become "lucky" users. According to the available information, the hackers managed to obtain an amount worth over 100 thousand dollars, but most likely the amount will be much higher. Remember that nobody will give you anything for free these days, not even Apple or Bill Gates, who are certainly not short of money.

Sony is ramping up production of the upcoming PlayStation 5

It's been a few weeks since we saw the presentation of the expected PlayStation 5 console from Sony at one of the conferences. This console will impress potential buyers with its design and, of course, with its performance, which should be simply breathtaking. The more astute among you have already noticed that Sony is going to sell two versions of the PlayStation 5. The first version is labeled as classic and will offer a drive, the second version is then labeled as digital and will come without a drive. Of course, this version will be several tens of dollars cheaper, which makes sense. By the first wave of sales, Sony wanted to produce 5 million units of the latest game console. However, it turned out that it would probably not be enough, so the production was increased. In the first wave of sales, twice as many PlayStation 5s should reach, i.e. a total of 10 million units. 5 million of this will be available already at the end of September, the remaining 5 million between October and December. We should expect to see the console on store shelves at the end of this year, before the Christmas holidays. Choosing a Christmas present for your children or a friend will be all the easier.

PUBG has passed a respectable milestone

If you're an avid gamer, you've definitely heard of the battle royale concept at least once. In this concept, several tens of players are connected to one map at the same time, most often around 100. These players then have to search the map for various equipment with which they have to survive. Most often, battle royal is played in the style of everyone against everyone, but in some games there are also so-called "duos", in which teams of two people play, often there is also a so-called "group", i.e. a group of 5 players who play against others groups. The biggest pioneer of battle royal PUBG, which continues to be very popular among players. There are even various tournaments played in PUBG, in which you can win valuable prizes in the form of several thousand dollars. It should be noted that PUBG recently passed a rather significant milestone - 70 million original copies of this game were sold.

Tesla is not allowed to use the word "autopilot"

If you are at least a little familiar with electric cars from Tesla, which is behind the visionary and entrepreneur Elon Musk, then you have definitely heard of the term "autopilot". Such an autopilot is found in Tesla vehicles, and as the name suggests, this technology is supposed to ensure that the vehicle is able to drive itself according to artificial intelligence. In this case, the word "alone" is important - although the autopilot in the Tesla works, the driver must still monitor the surrounding situation and traffic in order to be able to react in certain cases when a bad assessment occurs. Information often appears in various reports about how Tesla's autopilot failed, and how someone was injured or even died because of it - but Tesla is not to blame in a way. Musk's car company does not present its autopilot in such a way that the vehicle is capable of driving fully by itself, and as I mentioned above, the driver must continue to monitor the situation on the road. The German court does not like this, which has banned Tesla from using the word autopilot in Germany, because simply put, it is not an autopilot. Tesla counters that it took the word autopilot from aviation, where pilots also have to constantly check everything.
