What is MagSafe?
As mentioned above, MagSafe is a special magnetic power connector. However, this is not a complete novelty for Apple users, as this connector has appeared in the MacBook since 2006. The computer was connected to the power supply with a fairly strong magnet, but not so much as to damage the computer. Apple later, specifically in 2016, replaced it with the modern USB-C connector, which it still uses in its laptops today.
The year 2020, or a big comeback in a different form
At this year's October conference, the MagSafe connector for the iPhone was presented with great fanfare, which certainly pleased many apple fans. Magnets are implemented in the back, thanks to which the iPhone will sit correctly on the charger, no matter how you place it. In addition to MagSafe cables, accessories were also presented, including magnetic cases and wallets. Belkin also took on the development of MagSafe chargers for iPhones.
When will MagSafe cases be available?
The Californian giant said that you will be able to purchase silicone, clear and leather cases as well as leather wallets on its site. The wallets are available from September 16, specifically for CZK 1790, and the covers cost CZK 1490, and you can get them now, except for the leather ones.

When will MagSafe chargers be available?
Currently, you can buy a charger for one device on Apple's official website, for which Apple charges CZK 1190. However, expect that in the package you will only receive a cable with a magnetic pad on one side and a USB-C connector on the other. For the fastest possible charging, you need to purchase a 20W USB-C adapter, which costs CZK 590 on Apple's website, but on the other hand, keep in mind that the MagSafe connector is limited to only 15W charging. Apple also announced that it will release a MagSafe Duo charger, which should be able to charge both the iPhone and the Apple Watch at the same time. We'll see if we can wait.

If you don't want to switch to a new phone because of MagSafe, then we have good news - this charger will be compatible with other models that support wireless charging. So they are iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 11, iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. If you have AirPods with a wireless case, you'll charge them as well, as for the Apple Watch, you'll have to wait until Apple comes out with the MagSafe Duo product. Be aware, however, that with the exception of the newly introduced iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, the phones won't stick to the magnetic charger, and will only support slow 7,5W wireless charging regardless of which adapter is used.
Accessories from Belkin
As already mentioned in the article, Belkin introduced several chargers with MagSafe support, namely MagSafe BOOST ↑ CHARGE PRO and MagSafe Car Vent Mount PRO. The first mentioned can power up to 3 devices at the same time, where you will find a base with a pad for AirPods below and two more pads above it, on which you can place the iPhone and Apple Watch. As for the MagSafe Car Vent Mount PRO, it is a pad that you simply insert into the opening in your car. The MagSafe Car Vent Mount PRO costs $39, which is roughly CZK 900 when converted to Czech crowns. You can buy a more expensive charger from Belkin for $149, roughly CZK 3.
