Wistron is hiring up to 10 employees because of the iPhone

As you all know, the development of apple phones takes place in California, specifically in Apple Park. However, due to lower costs, the production itself takes place mainly in China. In recent years, however, the Californian giant has been trying to expand production to other countries, with India and Vietnam being the most talked about. We recently featured you in our magazine informed about the fact that Apple's flagship phones will be manufactured in India for the first time. Production in this area is sponsored by Wistron.

According to the latest news, the company has started recruiting new employees. Sales of iPhones are constantly growing, and in order to strengthen production, it is necessary to employ as many people as possible. Wistron is said to have already employed around two thousand people and is definitely not going to stop there. Magazine The New Indian Express they talk about the fact that a total of ten thousand jobs should be created, thanks to which another eight thousand local residents will get work. At the same time, this factory concentrates on the production of key components, which include, for example, the processor, operating memory and storage. The mentioned components should make up half of the price of the whole phone.

There has been talk of leaving China for a long time, which is also "helped" by the ongoing trade war between China and the United States. In addition to the whole situation expressed also a member of the board of the largest company of the apple supply chain Foxconn, according to which the end of China as the world's largest factory is approaching. Apple is probably taking the whole situation seriously and is trying to strengthen companies outside of China.

Macs are plagued by new malware, sensitive user data is at risk

No technology is perfect, and every once in a while there will be a bug that in some way disrupts the overall security. Although the Windows operating system mainly suffers from so-called computer viruses, which has a much higher market share and is therefore more attractive to hackers, we would find quite a few of them on the Mac as well. Currently, security researchers from the company drew attention to the new threat Trend Micro. The newly discovered malware can even manage and control the infected system. Who is at risk and how does the virus spread?

This is an unusual virus that is closely associated with projects within the Xcode development studio. What's unusual about malware is that it can be directly contained in almost any project of the mentioned application, which also makes it much easier to spread. Once the code gets into your work, all you have to do is compile the code and you're instantly infected. Undoubtedly (and not only) developers are at risk. However, a huge problem is that the programmers themselves often share their work within the Github network, from where literally anyone can easily "get infected". Fortunately, malware can be detected by a tool from Google called VirusTotal.

And what is this virus actually capable of? Malware can attack Safari and other browsers, from which it is able to extract your personal data. Among them we can include, for example, cookies. It can still manage to create backdoors in the field of JavaScript, thanks to which it can modify the display of pages, read personal banking information, block password changes and even seize new passwords. Unfortunately, that's not all. Data from applications such as Evernote, Notes, Skype, Telegram, QQ and WeChat are still at risk. The malware is also capable of taking screenshots, which it can then upload to the attacker's servers, encrypt files and display random notes. Virtually anyone who runs an application with the relevant code can become infected with the virus. Trend Micro therefore recommends users to download applications only from verified sources that offer a sufficient layer of security.

Apple Music is free for students for 6 months, but there is a catch

The holidays are slowly coming to an end and Apple continues with its Back to School campaign. This time, however, it is not discounting products or the like, but offering students six months of access to the Apple Music platform completely free of charge. Of course, it is necessary to fulfill elementary conditions. To gain access, you must be a completely new user of the platform (for example, switching from Spotify or purchasing a streaming music platform for the first time).
