Although Apple presented today a cheaper version of your 5K iMac, but at the same time significantly adjusted the prices of other computers in response to the still strong dollar against the euro. In the Czech Republic, we therefore pay several thousand extra for some Macs. The changes apply to iMacs without a 5K display or Mac Pro.
Today's presented 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display and new Force Touch trackpad remained at its original price, but we now have to pay extra for all iMacs. The 21,5-inch iMac with a 1,4GHz dual-core processor is 4 crowns more expensive, the middle model with a 2,7GHz quad-core processor is 5 crowns more expensive, and the most powerful variant with a 2,9GHz processor is even 7 more expensive.
Anyone planning to buy a 27-inch iMac without a 5K display will pay 3,2 more than the original price, i.e. 9 crowns, for the only available configuration with a 57GHz quad-core processor as of today. The price of the 990K iMac in the higher configuration paradoxically remained the same.
The smallest Mac mini computer also experienced another price increase. All three offered variants are 1, 500, and 2 crowns more expensive, respectively. The cheapest Mac Pro costs a staggering 000 crowns in the Czech Republic, where the price has risen by 3 crowns. The more expensive variant even increased by 000 thousand crowns.
Most recently in the Czech Apple Online Store became more expensive at the beginning of March, then met the rising prices of iPhones and MacBooks. Now there are also other large products of the Californian company.
Eh. I won't pay any more... He who wants power gets nothing. I don't let myself be flayed like a sheep.
Just like that, when the dollar was 18 CZK, I didn't notice that iPhones would be cheaper by 3k like they are now, Macbooks too.
My opinion, which you don't have to agree with: For now, computers and the ecosystem work as I expect them to, so I'll pay extra, but we'll see what the future brings, and honestly I wouldn't drag the "sheep" into it, it's always just about whether the given product will bring you the benefit or not and just because it doesn't bring it to you doesn't mean it won't bring it to someone else :-)
PS: Since the MBA mid 2011, MBP Late 2008 Unibody still work, I'm not going to upgrade anytime soon :-)
I would be interested in how it is with the MBP graphics card (AMD Radeon R9 M370X). Apple claims a performance increase of up to 80% compared to older graphics (NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M), but it doesn't look like that here, for example http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html
"Here" where? :D dyt has never been tested, it has an empty window..
* means approximate ranking according to performance. Even if it was 20 places higher, nothing much.
Someone is unscathed. So that pride does not precede the fall.
I would rather look for the cause in the government and why the value of the crown is falling. Apple only reacts to changes in the exchange rate.
Crowns and Euros mainly..
Everyone has been getting upset lately about how expensive Apple is, but isn't it strange that other NBs have also become more expensive?
After all, no one can expect that an American company will keep prices in Europe the same as when the dollar was 17 CZK, when it is now 25 CZK.
It really is a gem. I was considering a Mac mini, but after the price hike, I'm definitely not going for a new one. I'll probably get an older one with a quad core, late 2012 version. I'll put 16GB of RAM and an SSD drive there. The poor people who got ripped off, what they did now, they can kick their ass.
Or I'll ditch it completely and completely reorient myself to Android and Linux. Like giving over 50 liters for a stretcher seems like a lot to me
62t. for 15″ with integrated graphics, unreal..
Or try Hackintosh. I needed something more powerful than the MBP (which unfortunately isn't as PRO as I expected), so I got an i7-4790K, 16GB RAM, 2x SSD and a GTX970 and turned it into a Hackintosh. Everything goes to Yosemite as it has for about 9 months and it cost about 30.
This is exactly how I did it too, but already two years ago - in the meantime I upgraded both HW (graphics, RAM, CPU, ...) and SW (Yosemite) and everything works perfectly - and it's really a blast - e.g. editing in Final Cut X runs absolutely smoothly (on my MacBook 17 MID 2010 it's practically unusable).
For me, Apple is really first of all SW - there I see it as a real top that competitors can only dream about.
But I don't care one bit about their overpriced, unfixable, unupgradable HW.
Unfortunately, their policy is that the OS is free with the HW, so we have to adapt to a large extent. I would rather pay for an OS license and build my own HW - and as a colleague writes above - really for a fraction of the price...
It is caused by the falling value of the Euro and the crown, Apple has only made it cheaper in recent years (1999 dollars for 15 never was, it cost more).
Simply, when the dollar rises by 50%, you cannot expect American companies to subsidize Europe to maintain prices.
They made all NBs more expensive, with the most expensive ones the jump is the biggest and the most nas. but I wouldn't make a fool of Apple because of that.
I also find the absense integrated graphics in the basic model to be a stumbling block for the ProNB.
MY FIRST IPHONE WAS 3gs, then 4, then 5 and now 6+.
It's my last iPhone
It's just epl really overdone it.
The last straw was an overpriced watch that doesn't even have its own sim, it can't stand anything and it doesn't do anything
But yeah, why not…. At least not every socka will have it :D
The one who only has a camera with 8 megabytes today is a really badass.
The person who talks about how great the iPhone takes pictures has never seen what he took on the PC screen.
The photos look like attractions from LEGOLAND
JUST IF THE PHOTO DOESN'T HAVE 20-40 mega, it's a high vga file...
You don't really suck at the material anymore. Don't get carried away by marketing MPix. In addition, if you have FULL HD, you can certainly calculate how many pixels you actually have there.
dude - so about 8 megabytes is like 43 megabytes on a nokia
1) don't touch me or call me a castrated animal
2) the more pixels, the more adidas, yes we know. Try to study this topic a little before you write something again. Putting more pixels on the same area does not automatically mean that the photo will be better. From a logical point of view, there will be less space left for each pixel -> not as much light will reach it. Why do FF mirrors shoot with less noise than ASP-C chips, even though they have the same number of pixels?
If I don't win in sports, I will probably never have anything from Apple again. I just don't have it. And I don't think I have a completely low salary. Where the hell do they get people for that? Or do all apple-eaters have only one kidney? (joke)…
I think most people have a job. They make money from it. If you do graphics and design, you don't have much of a choice. A Windows solution would be more useful to you. Or perhaps programmers. If you want a powerful programmer's laptop, you can get pretty close to the MBP even in the apple world. In addition, if you have a Mac, you can program for Apple, Windows, and Android. So you get a more versatile machine. The problem is more with non-professionals like me, who hates Windows, you can't find quality programs on Linux, and Apple is simply expensive.
Oh, and one more thought. The initial investment in Apple is higher, but the products hold their price for a much longer period of time. Clouds of people drive just fine on 3-year-old iP 4S. Also, the condition of a 3-year-old Apple laptop is usually significantly better than an equally old Widlam machine. Bazaars are full of stuck, cracked and unusable stretchers for decent work. If a person is happy and buys an iP6 for example, he has another 3 years of peace of mind. This doesn't really apply to Android machines. I myself now have a Note 3 and I am waiting in vain for a system update. I have KK 4.4.2, but it has been 5.1.1 for a long time. My girlfriend has iOS 4 on her iP8.3S.
It just seems to me that this trend will not last any longer.
I myself had an iP4 until recently, it pedaled beautifully for 4,5 years and did everything I needed, but in the end we bought a 5s, because I had a big problem with the six.
5s passed through my hands 8 times and I still ended up with a yellowed display and everyone everywhere tells me that this is normal (it is not, the pieces on display have dull displays and so do my friends) and most importantly it lasts the same time on one charge as my 4,5, 4 year old iPXNUMX.
I didn't help myself with the update for 17 or so much..but I agree about keeping the price, it just seems to me that it's not as extra as before and the price is still the same.
In addition, I have had a Mac for 1,5 years and the problems with Wi-Fi, the loss of the cursor, freezing and the inability to jump between screens, we already had a hard restart... I did not expect that and I hear a lot from others that it is no longer what it was it used to be.
It seems to me that the company began to focus heavily on profits, not on product quality, and so far it is still holding on because of inertia, but I hope that it will break up and not down.
Well, you're right about those gains. There is nothing wrong with profit. But when I walk through an Apple store, I just feel like I'm being robbed and manipulated. A thoughtful person is sick of it, whereas a simple fool is probably excited. The basic versions of the computer often have 4GB of non-expandable memory and dual-core processors with a frequency of 1.4, 1.6, and MacBook even 1,1GHz. If you want a quad-core laptop, you have to reach for the MBP 15 inch. There you get 16 GB of ram and you can't change it. Price 61 thousand. In mobile tablets, you are pushed to 64GB of memory, because there is not enough 32GB. Only the 16GB mix. So you have 64GB in your mobile phone and 128GB in your notebook. The extra charge for 256GB is a real mockery for a person who is able to google prices on the Internet. You can usually assemble a computer with the same performance for half as much, but write from me. Unfortunately, you will have to install Widle or Linux on such a machine. Or Hackintosh, as a colleague wrote below. Then you will get a lot of other things. 30-pin cable for iP4S 499 CZK. Plastic docking station 1200. Recouktion for new MacBook $100. A person who doesn't make money very easily just has to think hard. That's why, unfortunately, I don't have anything from Apple.
Otherwise, I agree with Mr. Šourek. Simply, those who are comfortable with the Apple ecosystem will pay extra. In the west, no one deals with it, there are payments elsewhere. Here, whoever has Apple to work with doesn't solve it. It's just an accounting expense. Rather, people like me, who do not make a living using Apple products, have to think more about what else they will finance and what is simply not worth it. As I wrote, you can buy, for example, an older Apple machine. Or simply discount equipment. MBA 13 inches costs about 30 thousand. A 128GB drive would probably be enough for me. This can be solved with the cloud or an external drive. 4GB of RAM is not enough, so an extra charge of 3200 for 8GB. And we are at 35 thousand. You can't buy a decent metal laptop with a backlit keyboard, 8GB of RAM and an SSD drive for less than 20 anyway, and you'll have a crazy Widle in it. And if you connect the Air to an external monitor, you can certainly work on it quite professionally. And you can still pay extra for an i7. This would probably also handle graphics or programming in some IDE.
