Today, Apple participated in the famous Macworld for the very last time, and without Steve Jobs. After six o'clock in the evening of our time, Phil Schiller appeared on the stage, who was not wearing a black turtleneck, as we are used to with Jobs. :) Right at the beginning of his presentation, he announced to us that today he intends to announce 3 news from Apple's kitchen. It ended up being them iLife, iWork and Macbook Pro 17".

Maybe I can reveal it now. iLife 09 she is the one for me the most important news from this year's Macworld. The iLife 09 will be available at the end of January and will cost $79 (in the US, of course).

iPhoto

iPhoto can on photos recognize faces and you can then tag them - this feature is called Faces. If you already have some faces tagged, then iPhoto can recognize this person in other photos as well. Of course, these are only recommendations that you must agree to. However, iPhoto also acquired Marking the place where the photo was taken (Places). Thanks to iPhoto's database of thousands of locations, you'll be able to determine where a photo was taken. This location can then be displayed on the map. If your device has a GPS chip, iPhoto will of course arrange everything automatically.

Another novelty is integration with Facebook and Flickr. You can share photos directly from iPhoto on these sites, but that's not all. If someone tags a photo on Facebook, the tags will also be placed in the photos in your library during reverse synchronization.

But that's still not all there is to iPhoto. The new iPhoto will of course also include new themes for different kinds of slideshow, which look amazing. Everyone chooses here. It is also possible to export them to our iPhone or iPod Touch. In addition, it is possible to create something like a travel diary, where on one page we can display a map and secondary photos of this place. Such a photo book. Poor Google Picasa.

iMovie

Another master of shaving is iMovie 09. I confess that I am not like a fish in water in it, so just briefly - the ability to zoom in on a certain sequence for more detailed editing, the drag&drop principle for adding video or audio with a context menu, new topics and the ability to insert a map into the video where, for example, we have traveled everywhere - it will then be displayed, for example, on a 3D globe of the country.

A welcome novelty is the option image stabilization. If you often shoot video in motion, this will definitely be a frequently used novelty for you. Every user will certainly also appreciate better and more logical sorting in the video library.

Garage Band

The biggest innovation in this application is called "Learn to play” (Learn to play). Games like Guitar Hero or Rock Band - shake! Apple probably couldn't look at those plastic guitars and decided to teach us how to play real musical instruments.

Garage Band will have 9 lessons for guitar and piano in the basic package. The video instructor will try to explain to you how to master the basics. But that is not all. Apple prepared an even more entertaining section "Artists Lessons" (Lessons from artists), in which you will be accompanied by well-known personalities such as Sting, John Fogerty or Norah Jones and they will teach you to play one of their songs.

In it, you should not only learn to play the song using the correct fingering and techniques, but you will even learn, for example, the story of the birth of the given song. Such a lesson will cost $4.99, which I think is a very favorable price.

The update also saw iWeb a iDVD, but the news is probably not very important, so no one even mentioned it.

If you are Leopard operating system users, then run to the site Apple.com, because it is waiting for you here lots of news and videos right from the new iLife software! And I really recommend watching it. If you're a Windows user, at least see what you're missing out on :)
