Interesting information has appeared regarding the release date of the expected new operating system macOS 10.15 Catalina. According to the Danish version of Apple, it could be soon.

The Danish language mutation of the website dedicated to the macOS Catalina operating system hides a noticeable release date of the system. We can find it in an image related to the game service Apple Arcade, which already works in iOS 13, iPadOS and tvOS.

The caption in the Czech version reads "Play like never before." From October on the App Store.” It then includes a superscript with a small four that refers to the footnotes. But the Danish version literally contains the date "4. October".

So we can speculate that Apple will really next week decided to release macOS 10.15 Catalina. On the other hand, with various delays, this information seems unlikely. In addition, Apple Arcade itself does not work even in the beta version of macOS Catalina. So it would be strange if Apple came not only with a new operating system but also with a game service without proper testing.

Snow Leopard was released 10 years ago on Friday

Also, in theory, Apple never releases systems on Fridays. Usually every Mac operating system was released on Monday or Tuesday. The last system that came out on a Friday was Mac OS X Snow Leopard, and that was ten long years ago.

So it can be concluded that the Danish version of the website simply contains a simple typo. All other language mutations speak only vaguely of October, and the superscript refers to the same note at the foot of the page.

Apple hasn't fixed the page yet, so you can view it at the link here.
