If you're an Apple enthusiast, you most likely noticed this year's WWDC developer conference two weeks ago. At this conference, Apple has traditionally presented new versions of its operating systems for several years now - and this year was no exception. In particular, we saw the presentation of iOS and iPadOS 15, macOS 12 Monterey, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15, and the good news is that there is really a lot of all kinds of news available, although it may not have seemed like it when watching the presentation itself. After the initial presentation, Apple released the first developer beta versions of the mentioned systems almost immediately, and of course we are testing them for you all the time.

macOS 12: How to use and set up Quick Notes

One of the innovations that Apple focused on during its presentation is quick notes. Thanks to them, you can easily and quickly display a small window anywhere in the system, in which you can then write anything you want. By default, you can open a quick note by holding down Command on your keyboard, then moving your cursor to the bottom-right corner, where you just need to tap the quick note. Quick Notes are part of the Active Corners feature, which means you can choose how they appear. The procedure to change the quick note recall is as follows:

  • First, on your Mac with macOS 12, you need to tap on the top left corner icon .
  • Once you do so, select an option from the menu that appears System Preferences…
  • This will bring up a new window that contains all the sections for editing system preferences.
  • Within this window, find the section named Mission Control and click on it.
  • Next, in the lower left corner of the window, click the button Active corners…
  • Another small window will open in which you can the method of recalling a quick note reset.
  • Just tap on menu at the selected corner, and then selected an option from the list A quick note.
  • If you want to call up a quick note, do s modifier key, so after choosing the option Quick note hold.

Using the above procedure, you can therefore change the method for recalling a quick note anywhere in the system. In case you have changed the method for recalling a quick note, do not forget to delete the original method. You can find all the quick notes you've created in the Notes app, in the sidebar. Thanks to quick notes, you can record an idea at any time, for example, or you can insert content from the web into the note. If you record anything from a website in a quick note, when you visit it again, you will be able to continue the detailed note - it will automatically appear in the lower right corner.
