Apple computer fans are currently focused on the introduction of the expected 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro. It should bring a number of great improvements, led by a more powerful Apple Silicon chip, a new design, the return of some ports and a significantly better screen based on mini-LED technology. It was the mini-LED that Apple showed for the very first time this year with the 12,9″ iPad Pro, where it greatly increased the quality of the display and thus approached the level of OLED panels. This year's "Pročko" should also see a similar change. Anyway, it doesn't end there, because according to the latest news from the portal The Elec the giant from Cupertino is preparing to experiment with OLED screens.

Expected MacBook Pro 16″ (Render):

Allegedly, Samsung, i.e. Apple's display supplier, should already start working on preparations for the production of the mentioned OLED screens, which will then go into the upcoming MacBook Pros. This also goes hand in hand with the earlier prediction of the DigiTimes website, according to which the apple company is preparing to introduce the 16″ and 17″ MacBook Pro, as well as the 10,9″ and 12,9″ iPad Pro next year. So both of these products could theoretically offer an OLED display. Nevertheless, huge question marks hang over these speculations. To some Apple fans, it seems very unlikely that Apple would bet on more advanced display technology in one year and replace it in one year.

Although OLED panels offer first-class display quality, they still have their drawbacks. Among their main shortcomings are the notorious burning of pixels and a significantly lower lifespan. As already mentioned above, this year's MacBook Pros should offer mini-LED, which Apple presented as a great and high-quality alternative when introducing the iPad Pro. In addition, OLED technology is significantly more expensive and is currently used primarily in smaller devices such as the iPhone, Apple Watch or the Touch Bar. But that does not mean that it is something unrealistic. There are many on the market TVs with an OLED screen, whose size is understandably significantly larger.

Whether this prediction will come true is therefore unclear for the time being. In addition, even the apple growers themselves are not sure whether they would welcome such a change at all, especially considering the possible risks. Currently, we have nothing else to do but wait to see what Apple will come up with in the end.
