Changes in iOS 14 Beta 4
Four major innovations await us in the fourth developer beta version. We got a completely new widget for the Apple TV application. This widget shows the user programs from the mentioned application and thus allows him to quickly launch them. Next up is general improvements to Spotlight. It now displays far more suggestions on the iPhone and thus makes searching much more efficient. Another big change is the return of 3D Touch technology.
Unfortunately, the third developer beta version removed this feature, and it wasn't entirely clear at the beginning whether Apple had completely killed this gadget or if it was just a bug. So if you own an iPhone with 3D Touch technology and you lost it due to the mentioned third beta version, don't despair - luckily the next update will bring it back to you. Lastly, a new interface for notifications related to the coronavirus appeared in the system. These are activated when the user has the necessary application installed and meets a person who is marked as infected. Unfortunately, the last mentioned innovation does not apply to us, because the Czech application eRouška does not support it
The pleas of apple users have been heard: Safari can now handle 4K video on YouTube
Operating systems from Apple are quite popular. It offers perfect stability, simple operation and a number of other advantages. However, the Californian giant has been criticized for many years because its Safari browser on Mac cannot cope with playing videos in 4K resolution. But why is that so? Apple does not support the VP9 codec in its browser, which was created by rival Google. This codec is directly crucial for playing video in such a high resolution, and its absence in Safari simply did not allow playback.
Already at the presentation of the upcoming macOS 11 Big Sur operating system, we could learn about a significant overhaul of the mentioned Safari browser and the upcoming support for playing 4K videos on the YouTube portal. But many apple users were afraid that Apple would not delay with this feature and not deploy it in the system until several months after the first release. Fortunately, the news has already arrived in the fourth developer beta version of macOS Big Sur, which means that we will also see it when the system is officially released. For now, only registered developers can enjoy 4K video.
Apple quietly released a new 30W USB-C adapter
The Apple company quietly released a new one today 30W USB-C adapter with model designation MY1W2AM/A. What is relatively more interesting is that so far no one knows what makes the adapter different from the previous model apart from the label. At first glance, both products are completely identical. So if there was any change, we would have to look for it directly inside the adapter. The previous model, which bore the designation MR2A2LL/A, is no longer in the offer of the Californian giant.
The newer adapter is also intended for powering the 13″ MacBook Air with Retina display. Of course, we can use it with any USB-C device, for example for quick charging of an iPhone or iPad.

Exactly a week ago, we informed you about the possible early arrival of the new MacBook Air. Information about a newly certified 49,9Wh battery with a capacity of 4380 mAh and the designation A2389 began to appear on the Internet. Accumulators that have been used in current laptops with the attribute Air boast the same parameters - but we would find them under the designation A1965. The first reports of certification came from China and Denmark. Today, news from Korea is starting to spread on the Internet, where they even attached a picture of the battery itself to the certificate there.

On the occasion of the opening keynote for the WWDC 2020 developer conference, Apple boasted a huge change with the name Apple silicon. The Californian giant is going to put its own processors in Apple computers, thanks to which it would gain better control over the entire Mac project, would not be dependent on Intel, could potentially increase performance, reduce consumption and bring a number of other improvements. According to several leading analysts, Apple should deploy the Apple Silicon processor first in the 13″ MacBook Air. Whether this product is already out the door is unclear for now. For now, all we know is that they are working on a newer Apple laptop in Cupertino, which will theoretically have a lot to offer.
