Vratislav Holub Today, Apple introduced the new MacBook Air, which surprised everyone with its brand new design and more powerful M2 chip. The Cupertino giant even brought back the iconic MagSafe 3 power connector, brought a 1080p Full HD webcam, changed the shape of the device, and thanks to the narrowing of the bezels and the introduction of the cut-out, also "enlarged" the screen to 13,6″. But how much does this popular laptop from Apple cost?
The design of the MacBook Air M2 will take your breath away
At the outset, it is appropriate to mention that the newly introduced MacBook Air has slightly increased in price compared to the previous generation from 2020. While the MacBook Air (2020) started at CZK 29, you can get a new laptop in the basic configuration with an M990 chip (2c CPU, 8c GPU, 8c Neural Engine) for CZK 16. On the other hand, they are sold side by side. With the current generation, you can still pay extra for the more powerful M36 chip, which also offers a 990-core GPU. This change will cost you 2 thousand crowns. As for the unified memory, it starts at 10 GB, but a configuration with 3 or 8 GB is also offered. In that case, however, you will have to prepare an extra six or twelve thousand.
If the basic 256GB storage still doesn't suit you, you can pay extra for a 512GB, 1TB and 2TB SSD drive. The price for storage can go up to 24 crowns (for the 2TB variant). In the best configuration, the MacBook Air M2 will cost you CZK 75. Subsequently, the option of choosing between charging adapters is also offered. The basis is a 990W USB-C adapter, in any case, you can pay extra for a 30W two-port USB-C adapter or a 35W USB-C adapter.
The newly introduced MacBook Air M2 will go on sale next month, in July 2022.
