If you've been hesitating until now about getting started with productivity using Mac apps, now you'll have an easier decision. At least in terms of money. Apple is running a three-week sale on productivity apps (GTD) on the Mac App Store.
With the new App Store from iOS 6, Apple started to merge more really good apps of the same kind and put them under one main heading. As an example, the current banners on the iOS App Store: Apps for Film Lovers, Crazy Courses, Football whether University Survival Guide. Within App of the week even one app or game is free for one week. Sometimes the apps are also on sale. And why does Apple do this? Almost certainly because of the money, since part of the price goes into the company's pocket. But on the other hand, it helps developers of good apps with sales and recommends really good apps to users.
I've digressed a bit, but there's a reason. Apple is starting to do bigger events in the Mac App Store in addition to the classic banners. The result is discounts on productivity apps for three weeks. Each week, Apple selects a few apps from developers that will be discounted all week. A total of three categories await you, each in one week. Apps that fall under the category are now on sale Prioritization (Priorities and tasks). There are really great apps on sale, you can find them here: Clear, Things, 2Do, Due, All, TaskPaper, The Hit List a Break time. All applications are now for half normal prices! For example, one of the best apps for managing tasks, Things, normally costs 44,99 euros, but now you can get it for 21,99 euros. And considering that the application has not been discounted even once in the two years of its existence in the Mac App Store, a similar situation will probably not happen often (and maybe not at all).
Our reviews can be a partial help in choosing:
Next week we can look forward to the category Organization (Organizing and managing tasks) and the category awaits us in the last week Utilize (Processing and Use). We can only speculate about what applications Apple will include in the categories, such as o iPhonemini. One thing's for sure, if you're going to start being productive, now (and for the next three weeks) is the time.
Only for the US store, so false...
I don't have US and I see discounts there..
Discounts apply to the CZ and US App Store. I haven't researched the others, but it should be everywhere.
There are also discounts in the SK Store, of course I immediately took advantage of them - Things and TaskPaper - brilliant applications, the original price of which seemed to me to be quite outrageous. I'm unlucky, I bought a full price 2Do a week ago. I don't regret it (I have it on my iPhone and iPad), but I could have saved about 15 euros.
