Apple only recently - in September 2021 - introduced the new iPhone 13 model series. The public can once again choose between four models. Among them is also the iPhone 13 Mini, a smaller and cheaper iPhone that seems to be a great phone for children, for example. But even so, the iPhone 13 Mini with the smallest 126GB storage has a price tag somewhere just under 20 CZK. It is thus a relatively expensive phone for a child.
An alternative could be the new generation iPhone SE, which was released in the spring of 2020 and was a great success. Apple managed to fit a very good camera and especially the Apple A8 bionic processor into the body of the iPhone 13. This phone costs just over 9 CZK. However, as a child's first phone, it can still be relatively expensive fun, so try an older refurbished iPhone instead. The iPhone 000 is a very good choice.
What does the iPhone 7 offer?
The iPhone 7 was very popular in its time, and even today some of its owners can't stand it. But if you are giving your child an older phone, it is important that it is XNUMX% functional and reliable. In case of emergency, the child must call for help with it.
Therefore, pay attention to the state of the battery, overheating, sudden shutdown of the phone and, of course, also prepare the phone for use by a child. Reinstall it completely and, through family sharing, set up a child's own child account in it, linked to yours. If you set everything right, the child will not download any application without your knowledge. You will approve everything and you will have an overview of what he does on the phone and for how long.
It's the first iPhone that was waterproof, so it's possible to use it even in the rain without worrying about it getting damaged. People also liked its metal back design. It was actually the last iPhone in this design. You can still even get iPhone 7 covers. Be sure to get a very sturdy one.
At the time of its unveiling, the iPhone 7 had the best camera in the world. Everything has changed since then, and today's iPhones are somewhere else. However, this camera is enough for children. If you want a slightly better digital zoom and dual camera, you can buy them a refurbished iPhone 7 plus. However, it is already larger and may not be a suitable choice for a child to carry around on a daily basis.

This means that even older models are still up-to-date and it is possible to download more modern applications to them. The iPhone 7 is compatible with the latest iOS 15.1 and will apparently even have iOS 16 support.
