Logitech is one of the largest manufacturers of keyboards for Apple devices, where, compared to the classic Apple keyboard, it offers, for example, solar-charged models that never need to replace the batteries. One such keyboard is the K760, which, in addition to the solar panel, is characterized by the ability to connect the keyboard via Bluetooth to up to three devices, regardless of the operating system, and simply switch between them.

The Logitech K760 is very similar to its predecessor K750, especially in design. The combination of a gray textured surface combined with white keys is already typical for Logitech keyboards designed for Mac. However, the company finally gave up on its dongle, which, although it allowed to connect more devices wirelessly, was unnecessarily taking up one of the USB ports. In addition, thanks to Bluetooth, this model can also be used for iOS devices.

The top of the keyboard looks like glass, although it could also be hard transparent plastic. Above the keys is a large solar panel that recharges the built-in battery. In practice, even light from a room light bulb is enough for him, you don't have to worry about the battery ever running out. The back part is made of white plastic with rubber feet on which the keyboard stands (the tilt of the K760 is about 7-8 degrees). In addition, there is also a small button for pairing via Bluetooth.

The keys themselves are white plastic, as is customary with Logitech keyboards for Mac, with gray labels. The stroke of the keys seems to me a bit higher than on the MacBook, which takes some getting used to. Speaking of comparisons, the K760's keys are slightly smaller, by less than a millimeter, which Logitech compensates for with larger gaps between the keys. As a result, the keyboard is the same size. It's hard to say whether the smaller keys are an advantage or a disadvantage, perhaps more typos are eliminated, but I personally prefer the dimensions of the MacBook keyboard, as well as the lower stroke.

Of course, the K760 also includes a functional row of keys, which is rearranged compared to the usual layout, at least as far as multimedia functions are concerned. The first three keys are used to switch Bluetooth channels, and on F8 there is a key to check the battery status, which lights up the LED next to the power switch. Since the keyboard is also intended for iOS devices, you will also find the Home button (F5) or the key to hide the software keyboard, which on Mac serves as Eject.

To my taste, the keys are quite noisy, subjectively twice as loud as the MacBook, which they consider one of the biggest disadvantages of the K760. Although the keys are flat, the bottom row with the spacebar is slightly rounded on the surface. A similar phenomenon was also seen in our previously reviewed K750, fortunately the rounding is much milder and does not spoil the impression of the integrity of the keyboard.

The main feature that makes the K760 unique is the ability to switch between three devices, be it Mac, iPhone, iPad or PC. The above-mentioned toggle buttons on the F1 – F3 keys are used for this. First, you need to press the pairing button under the keyboard, the LEDs on the keys will start flashing. Press one of the keys to select a channel and then initiate pairing on your device. The procedure for pairing individual devices can be found in the attached manual.

Once you have all your devices paired and assigned to individual channels, switching between them is a matter of pressing one of three buttons. The device will connect to the keyboard in less than a second and you can continue typing. I can confirm from my own experience that the process is really fast and flawless. In terms of practical use, I can imagine, for example, switching between a desktop and a laptop connected to the same monitor. For example, I myself planned to have the current PC for games and a Mac mini for everything else, and the K760 would be a great solution for this case.

The Logitech K760 is a solid keyboard with a nice design, a practical solar panel, which, on the other hand, takes up some space, which is not a problem for a desktop keyboard. The most interesting thing about the entire keyboard is the ability to switch between devices, on the other hand, it requires a specific user who will find a use for this function. However, due to the higher price of around 2 CZK, it is definitely not a keyboard for everyone, especially when you can buy an original Apple wireless keyboard for 000 CZK cheaper.
