World AIDS Day will be held on Sunday, December 1. Following the event, Apple is recoloring its logos at brick-and-mortar stores around the world in red. With this gesture, the Californian company shows that it fully supports the fight against the insidious disease, including financially.

For every Apple Pay payment made until December 2nd in its store, on apple.com or in the Apple Store app, Apple will donate $1 to the RED initiative to fight AIDS, up to one million dollars. This is an extension of a long-running campaign where the company offers several of its products in a special red color and donates a portion of the proceeds from each piece to the RED organization. Since 2006, Apple has raised more than $220 million in this way.

The biggest Apple Story around the world is also involved in the event, and that's why Apple has recolored their logos in red. As you can see in the gallery below, for example, the Apple Store in Milan or the famous store on 5th Avenue, which recently opened its doors, underwent a transformation after a long-term reconstruction.

Last year, Apple transformed 125 of its brick-and-mortar stores in this way, and gave more than 400 more red stickers. The logos change their color only twice a year – in addition to red, they also change to green, specifically on Earth Day, which takes place every year on April 22.
