In the management of Apple we can find a number of interesting personalities who have significantly contributed to the growth of the company. One of these people is also Luca Maestri - senior vice president and financial director, whose medallion we will present in our article today.

Luca Maestri was born on October 14, 1963. He graduated from LUISS University in Rome, Italy with a bachelor's degree in economics, and later received a master's degree in management science from Boston University. Before joining Apple, Luca Maestri worked at the General Motors car company, in 2009 he expanded the ranks of Nokia Siemens Networks employees, and also served as CFO at Xerox. Luca Maestri joined Apple in 2013, initially as vice president for finance and controller. In 2014, Maestri replaced the retiring Peter Oppenheimer as CFO. Maestri's performance, loyalty and approach to work were praised both by colleagues and Tim Cook himself.

In his role as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Maestri reports directly to Tim Cook. Among his responsibilities are accounting supervision, business support, financial planning and analysis, he is also in charge of real estate, investment, internal audits and tax matters. Maestri also does not avoid interviews with journalists or public appearances - he often spoke to the media about Apple's investments, commented on its financial affairs, and also spoke during the regular announcement of the company's financial results. Luca Maestri was talked about last year mainly in connection with his possible candidacy for the position of head of the Italian car company Ferrari. Given his previous experience at General Motors, these assumptions are not entirely without merit, but have not yet been confirmed or refuted, the position is temporarily held by John Elkann.
