On the Jablíčkára website, we will introduce you to some Apple personalities from time to time. For today's installment of this series, Deirdre O'Brien, who now works for the company as Vice President of Retail, was chosen.

Deirdre O'Brien was born in 1966 in the United States. The internet doesn't know much about her background and personal life, but it is known for sure that she graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree and San Jose State University with a Master's degree. Deirdre O'Brien currently leads Apple's retail and online sales operations teams. Her portrait on Apple's official website states that she wants to focus her work on connecting customers and the people who serve them, and that she and her team want to provide customers with an experience that will also educate and inspire them. In addition to retail, Deirdre O'Brien also cares about employees, their talent development, their relationships, benefits, compensation, inclusion and diversity.

Deirdre O'Brien joined Apple in 1988, and has remained loyal to the company to this day. Officially, she is an older employee than Tim Cook, and she worked at Apple even when it was teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. Today, she describes this difficult period as a challenge, thanks to which she was able to become a better person with new abilities. During her tenure at the company, she worked, for example, in the global operations and sales department, supply chain operations, and in the human resources department. In April 2019, Deirdre O'Brien started working as head of retail, replacing Angela Ahrendts.
