Each of us knows games that require a large investment of time. Whether it's massive story-driven RPGs or multiplayer games where you have to spend hundreds of hours to match the best players, none still require as much time as The Longing. The game from the Seufz studio, which you can still get at a discounted price in this year's summer sale on Steam, has to be played for four hundred days.

Of course, four hundred days is a huge amount of time, so The Longing won't want you to spend all of it playing. In the game, the developers put you in the role of a shadowy man who is the only remaining subject of the ruler of the underground kingdom. He lost all his power and took such a long nap to regain his strength. Then it's up to you to wait four hundred days for him to wake up.

You kill time with the shadowy man in the vast underground realm. The four hundred days count down in real time, but various activities cause it to accelerate. The main character can listen to music in his room or read books he finds around him. In addition to such time-killing activities, you can also go to mysterious caves. The time limit is then deducted, of course, even in the interim when you are not playing the game. This will get you to awakening your king in much less time than The Longing asks of you at the beginning.
