According to the latest statement of well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is indeed going to release the second generation iPhone SE and new iPad Pro models. The mentioned products should be introduced in the first quarter of next year. But that's not all - the second quarter of 2020 should be marked by the long-awaited and speculated AR headset from Apple. According to Kuo, the company should cooperate with third-party brands in the first wave of production of AR accessories for the iPhone.

The new iPad Pro models are to be equipped with a rear 3D ToF sensor. It is – similar to the TrueDepth system in the cameras of iPhones and iPads – able to capture data from the surrounding world in depth and accurately. The presence of a 3D ToF sensor should help functions related to augmented reality.

The release of the iPhone SE 2 in the second quarter of 2020 is not that new. Kuo also talked about this possibility in another report last week. Nikkei also confirmed that the second generation iPhone SE should be released next year. According to both sources, its design should resemble the iPhone 8.

In the same way, many people also count on the release of an AR headset – hints in this direction were also revealed by the codes in the operating system iOS 13. But we can only speculate about the design of the headset. While earlier there was more talk of an AR device, reminiscent of classic glasses, now analysts are more inclined towards a variant of the headset, which should resemble, for example, the DayDream device from Google. Apple's AR device should work based on a wireless connection to an iPhone.

In the second quarter of next year, we could also expect a new MacBook Pro, which, after the previous problems that its predecessors had to deal with, should be equipped with a keyboard with an old-fashioned scissor mechanism. The display diagonal of the new model should be 16 inches, Kuo speculates about one more MacBook model. The scissor keyboard mechanism should already appear in MacBooks, which are expected to be released this fall.

Ming-Chi Kuo's predictions are usually reliable - let's be surprised by what the following months will bring.
