The year was 1993, when the small developer studio id Software released the then-unknown game DOOM. Probably few expected that the title would significantly influence the world of computer games and that over time it would turn into a cult thing that players will remember for decades to come. Even today - after 26 years - DOOM is still a quite often inflected term, thanks to the fact that this legendary shooter is now coming to life on smartphone screens.

The port for smartphones was handled by the American studio Bethesda, which a few days ago released all three original parts of DOOM for the most widespread platforms, namely for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. DOOM and DOOM II are currently available for Android and iOS, with each title priced at CZK 129.

The original DOOM was released for iOS already in 2009, under the wings of id Software. It is now available on iPhones and iPads DOOM II under the auspices of Bethesda. On the other hand, not even the first part was available for Android yet, so users of the system with the green robot in the emblem can now play both editions on their phones.

The original DOOM for the aforementioned platforms includes all content released in 1993, plus the fourth expansion Thy Flesh Consumed. DOOM II then includes the Master Levels expansion, which represents 20 additional levels that were designed by the game's community together with the developers.
