In a world that strives for perfection - as in the world around iPhones - many controversies and conflicting views often arise. Thanks to the obsession of its founder, Apple pays a lot of attention to the design and factory processing of all its products, and then devotes no small amount of care to convincing its customers that their product is perfect just the way it is. The accessories that can be purchased for the iPhone represent an even bigger dilemma. Their most controversial representatives are cases and packaging.

For many iPhone owners, it would be a shame to "ruin" a perfectly designed product with a third-party product that often does not devote even a fraction of the passion and precision that Apple does to the design or manufacturing process. That's why I often come across the opinion that no case is allowed on "their" iPhone. I myself belonged to this group of enthusiasts, until the iPhone 5 arrived. The thin and light device has an unrivaled design, but thanks to the thin back of the phone, it felt like something was missing in the palm of my hand.

When we received the Esperia Evoque Bamboo case in our office, I was on the fence about whether to put it on my phone. The massive-looking piece of plastic did not inspire much confidence in me, and the idea that it would actually absorb all the beauty of the original design rather discouraged me. However, a task is a task, so Bamboo clicked on the phone and it was off to test…

It's not plastic like plastic. In the case of this cover, Esperia uses a matte and very pleasant to the touch plastic that evokes velvet rather than a petroleum product. It fits the phone perfectly and holds beautifully. This cannot be said about most covers. They usually have a will or the phone can't fit in them. The Esperia Evoque is also light, so it definitely won't turn the iPhone 5 into a brick.

In addition to precision and high-quality plastic, there is one more feature that sets the Esperia Evoque apart from the competition. The back wall consists of a sheet of bamboo wood, which is glued to the plastic cover without any sharp edges or joints. The slightly cold and industrial design of the iPhone is softened by bamboo and gives it the stamp of a luxury product.

And now to the subject of the missing palm piece. The iPhone 5 brilliantly avoided the wave of smartphone enlargement and proved that the matter can be dealt with smartly. So the phone remained a phone. However, with a more elongated body and a slimmer back, it is harder to hold and less stable in the hand. A cover that is light and of good quality can make it worse or better. Worse if it's made of hard plastic, it extends over the edges of the phone and you catch your fingers on it. However, the Esperia Evoque Bamboo is quite the opposite. On the one hand, they fit perfectly, on the other hand, the wooden back does not slide, but they pleasantly compensate for the few millimeters that Apple engineers lacked for perfection after all.

Esperia wooden covers are a recent novelty in Europe. They have recently appeared on the counters of virtually all APR (Apple Premium Reseller) stores and other accessory stores throughout the Czech Republic. This cover is also used by Dara Rollins and several other celebrities who flaunt them on social media. The Esperia website also offers custom covers with your own theme.

The price of the cover, CZK 1, is not one of the lowest, but I would not call it excessive. The Esperia Evoque Bamboo is one of the few covers that is close to Apple's concept in terms of attention to detail, imagination and final processing, and is so worthy of this perfect device. In addition, you can choose your own motif and type of wood, so you have a good chance of being unique among your friends, even if someone else has a cover from the same manufacturer.
