Jiří Filip In addition to the introduction of the new Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra flagships, Samsung also unveiled its new Galaxy Buds Pro wireless headphones to the world at today's Unpacked. In the coming months, this should become a fairly tough competition for AirPods Pro from Apple's workshop, which premiered already in autumn 2019. So what does the new Galaxy Buds Pro offer?
The South Korean giant promises a deep and rich sound in the headphones provided by a two-way speaker and a powerful bass amplifier. As expected, the headphones also have active ambient noise suppression (ANC) with the ability to adjust the degree of noise cancellation. So you probably won't be surprised that they have a plug design, which is exactly what is needed for high-quality ANC.
A rather interesting feature is their water resistance. Samsung boasts that they can last up to 30 minutes at a depth of one meter, easily surpassing Apple's AirPods Pro. These only offer basic resistance to sweat and thus splashing according to IPX4. Another really interesting feature is their durability - with ANC turned off and Bixby listening, they can last up to 8 hours on a single charge, and even 28 hours when combined with a charging case. With ANC and Bixby on, users will enjoy 4,5 hours of listening to music, which is the same time offered by AirPods Pro. However, they only manage to play for 5 hours with ANC turned off, which is relatively little compared to the Galaxy Buds Pro.
The new Galaxy Buds Pro from Samsung are not only impressive with their features. You will also be pleased with their friendly price, which is only slightly higher than the classic AirPods. The South Korean giant charges CZK 5990 for them, i.e. CZK 1300 less than what Apple wants on its Online Store for AirPods Pro. The fact that they are available in three color variants - namely black, silver and purple - is also pleasing. They are available for pre-order today. But that's not all. Samsung will bundle a new wireless charger worth CZK 999 completely free with pre-orders at selected retailers.
