Adam Kos Samsung has unveiled its flagship smartphone for 2024. It's called the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and it wants to be the best not only in the Android world, but in the entire world of smartphones. Does it have a chance to match the iPhone 15 Pro Max?
Display
Samsung has been giving its Ultra a 6,8-inch display for several generations. It is therefore larger than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, because it has 6,7 inches, while Samsung also uses the corners because they are not rounded. This time, the South Korean manufacturer got rid of the curved sides. As for the resolution, it is 1440 x 3120 pixels for Samsung and 1290 x 2796 for Apple. Both have an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, but the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a brightness of 2 nits, the iPhone 600 Pro Max only reaches 15 nits.

Dimensions and durability
The display itself also determines the size of the device, when the Galaxy S24 is really a paddle. Its "sharp" corners are also to blame. Its size is 79 x 162,3 x 8,6 mm and weighs 233 g. In the case of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, it is 76,7 x 159,9 x 8,25 and weighs 221 g. The transition from steel helped the iPhone a lot to titanium, but Samsung was switching from aluminum, so it didn't have any effect between generations, that is, except for possible resistance. In both cases, this is according to IP68, although Apple adds that it is resistant to water ingress for up to 30 minutes at a depth of up to 6 meters, for Samsung it is only 1,5m depth for 30 minutes.

Performance and memory
The Samsung novelty received the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy with a significantly improved NPU unit for efficient processing of artificial intelligence algorithms. There is currently nothing better for Android. If it can match the A17 Pro chip? Only the benchmarks will show that, although it is likely that this will not be the case. RAM is 256GB in all memory variants (512 GB, 1 GB, 12 TB). The iPhone has 8GB of RAM, the memory variants are the same.

Cameras
Samsung got rid of its 10x telephoto lens, replacing it with 5x, but its resolution jumped from 10 to 50 MPx. However, he chokes on how his photos are 10x better than the previous generation, even with cropping and software algorithms. On the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the 3x zoom jumped to 5x and it was a great step. However, this does not change the fact that the Galaxy S24 Ultra also offers a 3x telephoto lens, which the iPhone now lacks.

Batteries and others
Samsung's novelty will offer a 5mAh battery, the iPhone only has 000mAh. Samsung advertises that you can charge 4441% of the battery in 30 minutes with a 65W adapter, with the iPhone 45 Pro Max you only get 15% in half an hour. But it already supports the Qi50 wireless standard, Samsung does not and remains only on Qi. But it can reverse charge. The Galaxy S2 Ultra is one of the first smartphones to support Wi-Fi 24, Apple's current flagship only has Wi-Fi 7E, but compared to Samsung it offers UWB 6. Both have Bluetooth 2.
