And while the red planet appears most often in such simulators, the developers of the Planetbase game decided to give you much more freedom. Instead of our close neighbor, you will have the opportunity to populate much more distant worlds.

Planetbase doesn't bother with how far away such worlds are, but it does offer you several different basic types of these planets. Of course, you will also be able to settle Martian-type planets, but in addition to them, the game will also offer you as a new home icy planets, planets with unceasing storms, but also the moons of gas giants, of which there are only a few in our star system. When playing, Planetbase does not trade diversity for at least a small degree of believability. After all, some of the scenes you will see while playing will hopefully become a reality for humanity one day.
Depending on the type of planet you settle on, you will use different methods of energy generation. These will become the basis for the construction of your colony, which will be a safe haven for its vulnerable colonists in an inhospitable exotic environment. In order for the little people to feel at home, you will have to come up with ways to grow your own crops and synthesize other food over time. An important part of the game is the administration of incoming colonists. They are divided into different categories in the game according to their specialization. Therefore, you must always maintain a balance so that you are not missing people in any of these categories.
