The iOS 14 operating system brought with it a number of interesting novelties and changes. After years, apple users got the ability to add widgets to the home screen, while a lot of news also came to the native Messages, Safari, the App Clips option and many others. At the same time, Apple bet on another rather interesting gadget - the so-called Application Library. iPhones were previously typical in that they collected all applications directly on desktops, while Android phones had something like a library.

But Apple has decided to change and has brought a second option to apple growers, thanks to which they can choose which approach is better for them. However, many apple users are not satisfied with the Library application and instead rely on the traditional approach. In a way, however, it is the fault of Apple, which could solve this ailment relatively easily by bringing a proper improvement giving apple owners more options. So let's shine a light together on how the giant could improve the so-called Application Library.

What changes does the App Library need?

Apple users most often complain about one and the same thing in connection with the Application Library - the way individual applications are sorted. These are sorted into folders based on the type of application, thanks to which we can browse through categories such as Social Networks, Utilities, Creativity, Entertainment, Information and Reading, Productivity, Shopping, Finance, Navigation, Travel, Shopping and Food, Health and Fitness, Games , Productivity and Finance, Other. At the very top, there are two more folders - Suggestions and Recently Added - which change continuously.

Although at first glance this method of classification may look relatively satisfactory, it does not necessarily suit everyone. As users, we have no power over sorting, as the iPhone does everything for us. So it can happen that some apps are in a folder where you definitely wouldn't expect them. It is for this that Apple faces the greatest criticism. According to the words and pleas of the apple growers themselves, the best solution would be if every user could intervene in the entire process and make the sorting themselves, according to their own ideas and needs.

Will we see this change?

On the other hand, the question is whether we will ever see such a change. In a way, Apple users are calling for something that has been available to them for years - just not within the Application Library, but directly on the desktops. After all, this is also the main reason why many users completely ignore the Application Library and continue to sort everything on their desktop. Would you welcome such a change? Alternatively, do you use a library at all, or do you stick to the traditional way?
