A book Jony Ive - The genius behind Apple's best products will be published in the official Czech translation on April 29, and Jablíčkář offers you the exclusive opportunity to pre-order this title for the promotional price of 449 crowns with free shipping.
For almost two months, we have been bringing you samples from the book, which maps the life of the famous designer Jony Ive and offers a unique view directly into Apple's design workshops, where the now iconic products with the bitten apple logo were created.
In collaboration with Blue Vision Publishing, we now offer you an exclusive opportunity to pre-order Leander Kahney's book Jony Ive - The genius behind Apple's best products for 449 CZK including postage and get it ahead of time before it appears on booksellers' shelves. You can use the offer until Sunday, April 27, and please note that the book is sent only to the territory of the Czech Republic. The recommended selling price of the book will be CZK 469.
Not long after the paperback release, the electronic version of the book will also appear in the respective stores. Their final price has not yet been announced, but on Jablíčkář you will be able to compete for several iBookstore promo codes on the day of their release, thanks to which you can get the book Jony Ive - The genius behind Apple's best products completely free.

I got to the payment, but the only address I entered was the billing address, where do you enter the address for the delivery of the book? Thanks for the info.
We are very sorry, the problem was in the incorrect setting of the form. We have already fixed it and it is therefore possible to enter a delivery address different from the billing address. If you have already placed an order, please email us your shipping address to redakce@bluevision.cz. Thank you
I have the same problem :) I ordered, I paid, but the address is nowhere...
We are very sorry for the problem with the form, we have already fixed it. Please email us your delivery address redakce@bluevision.cz and you don't have to worry - we'll send it to the right address. ;-)
Will it be a paperback? … quite a disappointment.
It will be a paperback, but completely polished, we can promise you that. :-) In addition to it, you will also get an electronic version for almost all available platforms.
The price on the iBook store is 8 euro (Polish) – 13 euro (French), if the price will be typically Czech, according to the calculation, 16-17 euro, so thank you, but I don't want to and something stinks here.
We will announce the price for the iBookstore at the end of the month. In any case, I can assure you that the set prices reflect the costs associated with the creation of the book. We try to make our titles accessible to the widest possible range of readers, but at the same time we don't want to offer readers a half-baked experience in the form of poor-quality translation, poor typesetting or second-rate paper.
Typesetting and paper really interest me when I write about the electronic form. It is not worth talking about electronic distribution, the translation in Poland and elsewhere was not free either, in Poland there is not a much bigger market than here. So I'm really curious about the price. Otherwise, the price of the book on Amazon is 12 dollars, so I can assure you that the price reflects the fact that you want to make money from it, which of course I understand, nobody did anything for free :-). But what's too much is too much.
The truth is that we are not a charity but a commercial company. Of course, we do not force you to buy the book, but we stand behind the fact that the price reflects the real costs and we believe that readers who expect the best from us will appreciate the high quality. At the same time, please do not compare the price on Amazon, which does not include the translation and the book was published in a significantly higher edition than ours. The situation is also different in Poland. The electronic version always reflects the costs associated with acquiring a license and creating a translation. These costs are not small, especially for such a specific book.
So what about the ibook store price?
The electronic version of the book will be released in the following week.
A few observations
1) I have been waiting for the book longer than was announced here, or rather I feel that the deadline has been moved at least twice
2) it wouldn't matter if the price of the ebook copies +/- the price in the iBookStore ($12)
Rather, disappointment prevails. The paperback has only about 320 pages + the price + the uncorrected order form + the protracted deadline do not seem very credible. But I wish good sales.
Good day. We moved the release date once because we wanted to fine-tune some elements so that the book offers a truly full experience. We believe we have succeeded. :-) The price of the electronic version will be announced at the end of the month.
I buy books normally, but 469,- for a paperback is really crazy. I'll probably wait until I'm normally on sale and judge for myself if they're really at such a high level... Anyway, the pre-order doesn't look very nice to me - it's unfinished and the poorly chosen font (š, ě) doesn't look like a professional approach. Sorry guys.
Good day. We will be happy if you wait for the book and judge the quality yourself based on personally browsing the title in the bookstore. We do not do pre-orders by default, here we used the FAPI service solution so that we could provide the readers of Jablíčkářa with this option. In the future, we take your observations as valuable sources of what to improve in future pre-sales. Thank you
