For many people, the car is the main source of livelihood. Many need to have their mileage, consumption and other valuable data under supervision. Whether you need to estimate the price of gasoline among your friends, or you want to drive efficiently on the so-called fuel consumption. The Czech Driver's Book application can help you quite easily with this.

It recently underwent a fairly large update, with the main changes being a complete redesign of the entire application, which was definitely appropriate. Until then, the application was graphically adapted to the now outdated iOS 6. The main strength and meaning of the Trip Book lies in the clear statistics about your distance traveled, gasoline consumption or time horizon of departure and arrival.

I'll take it practically. You get into the car and start the Log book. First, you choose which car you will drive, which you can specify at any time. Press the button New ride and you will immediately see the basic information: car, date of travel, price, distance traveled, time of departure and place of departure. Like many other apps, this one also uses your location and works in the background, which unfortunately shows in the battery consumption. On the other hand, the developer David Urban, who is responsible for the app, says that he fixed the issue in a recent update.

As soon as you drive the car, the Logbook starts working on its own in the background. Then when you arrive at your desired destination, just press a button End the ride. Then you fill in the purpose of the trip, possibly other necessary data, confirm and save. So you have another way out of your neck. All routes can then be easily found in the ongoing statistics, which can be edited in various ways.

A great advantage of the application is that all measured and recorded data can be exported. Thanks to the iOS 8 environment, you can immediately open all the data in, for example, Evernote, Numbers or send it to yourself by e-mail. Very handy for people who need to share data with their supervisor, for example.

In the application, it is also possible to interrupt the ride in different ways, for example depending on where you stop. Unfortunately, data about stops or breaks cannot be entered into the application in any way, so you always only get data about the start and the finish, no reference points in between. In the same way, the application can be criticized for not recording the route using a GPS locator, so you have no graphic output of your journey.

When it comes to editing the car, you can also configure it to your liking, which will definitely be necessary at the beginning. In addition to the car name, manufacturer and handy icon, you can also fill in your license plate number, car type, fuel, average consumption according to the technical license or billing method. You can then easily jump between vehicles.

The logbook is designed for the iPhone and its price is rather high by the standards of the App Store and what it can do. You can buy it for ten euros. On the other hand, you will not find any other similar application for iPhones that is completely in Czech and above all not connected to any company.
