But the simpler the idea, the more it matters sauce, which the game will offer. And in such a sauce we can count graphics, soundtrack, in-game expansions (if they are not paid, because it almost always spoils the taste) and various other goodies that will surprise and delight us while playing. I think we can find all this while playing Death Worm.
The story of the game is simple. Thanks to the game, you will find yourself in an area where a gigantic worm has appeared, which attacks everything living and non-living from underground. But you don't join the game as a human. You will destroy and devour everything above the ground. You will be the death worm – the worm of death. In the beginning, your victims will only be humans and animals. Gradually, however, cars, tanks, helicopters and other means of transport and military will arrive. And you might even see a UFO.
V campaign mode, you will have three areas at your disposal, which you will gradually unlock. The first area the worm attacks is the desert. You will have access to this right at the beginning and this is where you have to make your way to the next area, which is the city, and after the city comes the jungle. But how do you get into them? You will have to go through several levels by completing the task that the level gives you. Type tasks "Kill 60 in 120 seconds" and so. Although most of them will sound simple, some of them you probably won't be able to master on the first try. Furthermore, the game offers survival mode - classic mode where you just destroy as many things and kill as many people as you can before the human enemies get you. There are some upgrades waiting for you in both of these modes. The first of these are upgrades that allow you to improve and strengthen your abilities. Among them you will find, for example, speeding up or enlarging your worm. Another enhancement and help for you are two power-ups. One will allow you to shoot fireballs, and the other will whip you up for a few seconds so that you can jump from the ground to transport planes and engage them in this carnage. And as an imaginary cherry on the cake, the creators have prepared two mini games for you. They will also entertain you when you want to relax from the hustle and bustle of the big city, the desert or the jungle.
The control of the whole game is designed simply, but well. You control the movement of the worm using a virtual joystick on one side of the screen, and on the other you will find two buttons for power-ups. The game has excellent graphics that support retina display. It is also worth mentioning the excellent soundtrack, which will put you in the atmosphere of a true B-movie.
What I like about the game is its simple yet interesting idea. With above average graphics, soundtrack and satisfying controls, it makes for a game you could appreciate on your device. You will find fun with it for a long time, which is also promised by the white inscriptions "coming soon" in capmaign mode. The game is universal, so you can play with the worm on both iPhone and iPad.
