When introducing the new iPhone 5s, Apple perhaps boasted the most about Touch ID, new technology, which allows you to unlock your device with your fingerprint. A group of security professionals and other computer enthusiasts have now created a competition to be the first to crack or outsmart this technology. A hefty reward may await the winner...

Apple has vehemently argued that Touch ID is secure, and there is no reason not to believe it yet. However, many hackers and developers can't sleep, so they try to break the new technology.

On the new website istouchidhackedyet.com a competition was even launched to see who would be the first to come up with an effective recipe for bypassing Touch ID without a live finger. Anyone can participate in the event, just as anyone can contribute. Some contribute financially, others give a bottle of quality alcohol.

However, it is not an official competition, so it is then up to the "bidders" to get the prize to the eventual winner. However, the creator of the whole event is not looking for someone who would break Touch ID software, but instead get into the iPhone by removing fingerprints, for example from a glass or a mug.

Who will succeed and according to conditions Nicka Depetrillo will show a video with a successful attempt, he will become the winner.

Arturas Rosenbacher, the founder of I/O Capital, invested the largest amount so far – 10 thousand dollars, which translates to 190 thousand crowns.
