Paper specs are skyrocketing for us. Chinese brands in particular are competing to see which one will bring more impressive numbers. The currently presented OnePlus 12 crushes all the tables, including the specifications of the iPhone. Apple growers don't care anyway, because paper can handle anything.

The company OnePlus presented its top flagship, the model 12. Right away, there is a difference, because it only did so in the domestic market. It is supposed to get to the global one, but only at the beginning of next year. However, when we look at the specs, it's a definite beast of a smartphone, but it's up against its competition. Here we have Apple and its globally popular iPhones, and then Samsung, which is a constant fixture on the mobile phone market and the best-selling brand ever.

With iPhones, we see that they don't need the best technology to be the most popular phones. With Samsung, on the other hand, we can see that even it is not moving forward in terms of specifications and it is still the best-selling brand. Therefore, in order for China to succeed globally, it must try to push it to the power, i.e. the paper specifications, and the OnePlus 12 succeeds in this, because it playfully shoves not only iPhones, but also Samsungs in its pocket (in the case of RAM, even in the sum). Then, when one's own name is not enough, it is combined in a certain area with something better known. These are cameras on which the Hasselblad brand has collaborated.

Just don't

The battery with a capacity of 5 mAh is not the largest, even in cheap Androids we have 400 mAh. But what OnePlus is trying to attract in the field of charging is the speed of wired charging. That's 6W. It's not the fastest, but it's impressive, even considering that Apple is completely ignoring this trend and Samsung is kind of avoiding it, because when it joined the chase for the fastest charging before, it quickly backed off and doesn't brag about its speeds. Following Apple's example, he also prioritizes battery life here.

Then there is the display. The maximum brightness of the OnePlus 12 reaches a value of 4 nits. Here, however, both Apple and Samsung are already involved and regularly state the brightness of their displays. In this respect, OnePlus has painted their pants, but the question is to what extent can we actually use such extreme brightness? It doesn't matter, the important thing is to have the highest number, and that's what OnePlus has.

And then there's RAM. We're currently at the 24GB mark, although next year's gaming smartphones are rumored to come with up to 32GB of RAM. But is that much memory needed? Not for iOS, which is why even the iPhone 15 Pro only has 8 GB of RAM, but Android treats it a little differently. But it's about optimization, because even such a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra actually offers "only" 12 GB. So the OnePlus 12 has once as much.

The OnePlus 12 will be the spec king for a while, and the launch of the Galaxy S24 series in January probably won't change that. But will it be a phone that will be remembered in the future? Probably not.
