A somewhat controversial situation took place on rapper Kanye West's Twitter, who used a series of tweets (attached below) to respond to the rivalry between Apple Music and Tidal, where he owns a portion of the stake. He addressed his speech, which was peppered with profanity, mainly to the executives of these music streaming services, demanding that they stop this "fight" and simply provide music. In a sense, he also appealed for Apple to buy Tidal.

American rapper Kanye West is quite famous for his atypical nature. But now he avoided his private life and directed strong words through his Twitter account to the music industry, specifically to the popular music platforms Apple Music and Tidal and their bosses.

West wants Tim Cook (head of Apple), Jimmy Iovine (co-founder of Beats, now at Apple), Larry Jackson (head of music content for Apple Music), Jay-Z (owner of Tidal) and himself to get together in one room and discuss certain musical matters. Among other things, a possible acquisition between Apple and Tidal. He also added Canadian rapper Drake, who is connected to Apple, and later Daniel Ek, co-founder and CEO of another streaming giant, Spotify, to the list of wanted guests.

Of course, whether West predicted the future regarding the purchase of Tidal by the Cupertino company is not yet known, but it may not be far from the truth. It will surface in June she got the information, that Apple is supposed to be discussing possible terms of purchase with Tidal. The reason is obvious - the exclusivity of the albums. The Jay-Z service has exclusive rights to release new records both with the mentioned West and also with, for example, Beyoncé, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Usher, Chris Martin and others.

The names are big enough that Apple might want to include them in its portfolio and thereby increase its competitiveness. Exclusive albums are quite popular.
