About a month ago, Apple published Your Verse advertisement, which promotes in a poetic way iPad Air. The entire campaign can be found at Apple website. Except for himself videa there is also a story here Taking exploration to new depths about using an iPad in the deep sea. If you haven't visited the campaign site yet, I highly recommend you do so. They are really very nicely done.

Today, to the first story, Apple added the opposite story, which goes in an upward direction. Elevating the expedition tells the story of a pair of rock climbers Adrian Ballinger and Emily Harrington using the app Gaia GPS, thanks to which they can better conquer the highest peaks of the world.

"Five years ago, it was difficult to get at least a paper map to these places," recalls Bellinger. "It's incredible how we can plan our next course of action ahead with the help of the iPad."

A climbing duo uses an iPad to write a blog, take photos and connect with people on social media. Telling their story in real time would be impossible without the iPad. On top of all this, thanks to GPS, they can unambiguously record their location both for their own purposes and for government agencies or climbing associations.

During a routine climb, the iPad is used at every stage – from establishing a base station to reaching the very top of the mountain. The higher a person is, the less oxygen is available to them. This means leaving most of the equipment behind and continuing with the essentials. Together with the walkie-talkie, the iPad is the only piece of electronics that this couple takes with them to the top.

"With the iPad, couples' expeditions are a bit safer again. It allows us to try new routes and get to more remote locations," says Bellinger.
