At the same time, the non-traditional genre proves that the representation of rhythm on screens can be approached in many different ways. The developers from the studio Berzerk in their title Just Shapes and Beats proclaim already in the title that at the core it is a very simple matter. However, the colorful shapes to the sound of beats have some work to do to survive in the universally positively received video game.

Just Shapes and Beats puts you in control of the aforementioned multi-colored shapes, even in co-op mode for up to four players. Your task then is to perfectly empathize with the rhythm of the music, for which the game sends you one danger after another. One time it will be laser beams, the other time it will be projectiles that bounce dangerously across the screen. If you don't get out of the way in time, a chunk of matter will break off from your form. When the last one breaks off, you've lost.

The devilishly simple concept makes Just Shapes and Beats incredibly accessible. Even thanks to the cooperative multiplayer, this is an excellent title that you can entrust, for example, to guests at your party. At the same time, the developers thought of various parties by including a special mode that allows you to play visualized game music on the screen, for example as a background to a weekend meeting with friends.
