Jony Ive designer he served as the head of all things design at Apple until July 1, 2015. At that time, he left that position to focus more on the then-in-progress construction of Apple Park. He did not interfere with the architectural form of the project to such an extent, but he was tasked with the complete form of interiors and living spaces. He has been doing this for the past two years and given the current state of Apple Park, he is no longer needed in this position. That is why he is returning to where he was active (and very successfully) before. Head of the design department.

Apple has updated its feature page senior management of the company. Jony Ive is here again as the head of design, who is responsible for all subordinate sections, whether it is material design, software design, etc. When he left this position in 2015, he chose two successors who were to replace him permanently. These were people that Ive had under him for several years and "shaped" them in his own image. At the time, there was even speculation that Jony Ive's move was a kind of harbinger of his gradual departure from Apple. Today, however, everything is different. Alan Dya (former VP of User Interface Design) and Richard Howarth (VP of Industrial Design) are gone, replaced by Jony Ive.

Foreign newsrooms managed to obtain Apple's official opinion, which basically confirms this change. Ive is back in his original position, and the aforementioned duo now reports to him (along with other design executives at Apple). Jony Ive is a critically important person for Apple. Not only has he shaped products and software over the past few years, he also has at least five thousand patents to his name. His potential departure, which was hotly speculated years ago, is probably not imminent.
