Steve Wozniak, co-founder and former Apple employee, was interviewed magazine Bloomberg. In the interview, several interesting pieces of information were heard, mainly related to the film Steve Jobs, which is now heading to theaters. However, there were also other topics that were certainly worth attention.

In the first place, Wozniak said that practically nothing that takes place in the film Steve Jobs, didn't actually happen. One of the most engaging scenes of the film, which is also part of the trailer, for example depicts the clash between Jobs and Wozniak. According to Woz, this is pure fantasy, and his actor Seth Rogen says things here that he himself could never say. Nevertheless, Woz praised the film and tried to explain that the film is not about facts, but about personalities. This is a portrait, not a photograph, as screenwriter Aaron Sorkin or director Danny Boyle reminded several times. "It's a great movie. If Steve Jobs produced movies, they would have this quality," said 65-year-old Wozniak.

Wozniak was also confronted with Tim Cook's statements that the film is opportunistic and does not portray Steve Jobs as he was. The Apple co-founder responded by saying that the film describes Jobs' younger self relatively faithfully. And as for whether the film is opportunistic? "Everything that is done in business is opportunistic. (…) These films go back in time. (…) Some of these people, such as Tim Cook, were not around at the time."

Wozniak also stated that the film felt like he was watching the real Steve Jobs. The question, however, is whether Wozniak's words of praise can be taken completely seriously and whether it is possible to consider them as an independent opinion. Woz worked on the film as a paid consultant and reportedly spent hours and hours in discussions with screenwriter Aaron Sorkin.

But as it was already said in the introduction, Steve Wozniak with a reporter Bloomberg he wasn't just talking about the movie, which is about to hit US theaters on October 23rd and brought in near-record revenues in its first weekend of showing in just a handful of theaters. Woz was also asked about his views on current Apple. Reactions were quite positive, and Wozniak commented that Apple is still an innovator, but that churning out new product categories isn't enough.

“The rate of innovation at Apple is high. (…) But you reach a point where a product like a phone reaches its peak, and the goal is to make sure it works as well as possible," says Wozniak.

He went on to talk about a possible Apple car, saying it would have huge potential. According to him, Apple can create a car that would be as good or even better than his beloved Tesla. “I am extremely optimistic about the Apple Car. (…) How can a company like Apple, the biggest company in the world, grow? They have to do something big financially and cars are about to undergo a huge change.”

The man who stood with Steve Jobs at the birth of Apple also revealed that Jobs discussed with him the possibility of his return to the company at the end of his life. But Wozniak didn't stand for something like that. “Steve Jobs asked me not long before his death if I wanted to return to Apple. I told him no, that I love the life I have now.'
