Public transport timetables are used relatively often on the iPhone, but the current IDOS solution is not at all ideal for iPhone-type mobile phones. That's why I've previously created a web application for finding public transport timetables formatted for the iPhone. And today I present to you a slightly improved version of public transport timetables.
The timetables have appeared on the iPhone as well as an app in the Appstore, but for now they are only bus and train timetables. In addition, the functionality is still limited, so it is advisable to look for other solutions. And I've been running my own version for public transport for several months now
And what are these public transport timetables at 14205.w5.wedos.net why? It is a specially formatted web application for the iPhone screen size where you can enter the city, boarding and exiting stop, date and time. The search results are no longer formatted for iPhone in any way, it is only a blind version of IDOS.cz.
Public transport timetables for iPhone: http://jablickar.cz/mhd.php
Someone will surely ask what the difference is between these timetables and IDOS.cz formatted for mobile phones. First, there is no need to zoom in on the search screen - everything is already properly formatted. And most importantly, you will not only see one nearest connection in the search results, but several connections will be displayed. Plus, the initial search code is optimized to load as quickly as possible!
Timetables can be used again for a faster search add to iPhone screen among other apps from the Appstore. If you are already using public transport timetables from 14205.w5.wedos.net, you are probably wondering what is new. First of all, public transport timetables have a brand new icon created by the user Fractal. I hope you like the new green icon, I am very happy with it!
The second novelty concerns the script code. The search screen is now much better formatted for iPhone screens. Second, you can put a special version on your iPhone's desktop when you want to will automatically set your city for public transport searches, so you don't have to click through unnecessarily. And thirdly, you can also pre-define yours the most frequently used stops! If you want, you can have an icon on the iPhone screen with a link and specific stops. Many thanks to Alijen for editing the code!
Creating a public transport timetable icon on the iPhone screen in 3 steps:
1. Open the address in the iPhone browser http://jablickar.cz/mhd.php
2. Click the button in the bar and choose "Add to desktop"
3. Name the application something, personally I erase the end and leave only "Timetables" and click add.
Special timetable parameters
If you don't want to have Prague set by default, but you want another city or if you want to set a stop by default, then this advanced section is exactly for you. But it's nothing complicated and anyone can do it!
In the address line, it is necessary to fill in a few more parameters, especially in the city codes, do not look for any special logic, but simply use the code from the table below.
Address with parameters: http://jablickar.cz/mhd.php?mesto=e&odkud=Zastavka&kam=Konecna
The address thus consists of the address of the timetables, followed by a question mark, the city parameter and the definition of from and to. Write "&" between individual parameters, and if you need to write a space, you must write "%20". You can leave out any of the parameters. A special code is entered for the city, which you can find in the following table.

You can add a new one using the "&ch=" parameter predefined stops. You write stops after the equal sign and separate them with a comma. Always write stops in pairs, where the first is the starting station and the second is the final station. If you need a space, write %20 instead. The address can look like this, for example:
http://jablickar.cz/mhd.php?mesto=e&ch=prvni1%20vychozi,prvni2,druha1,druha2
We hope that our public transport timetables will come in handy. And if you like them, we will definitely be happy if you spread them to other mobile users!
Excellent Honzo, thanks!
I use your public transport almost daily and this will help me a lot. Although I have already memorized enough stops and got used to typing them out, it would still be pretty cool if I could define a few so-called "favorite" stops that I would choose from the roll-up menu. I would have about four there. Of course, I can make several icons on the iPhone screen, but that is no longer such an elegant solution. Although I might try. :-)

SteveJSF: it would then want to grant logins, different profiles and so on.. I assume that I will probably not develop it further. After all, you've certainly learned to type quickly on the iPhone in the past few months, so at least you can continue to practice :D But no, that kind of functionality would probably be nice, but for me the writing only consisted of a simple form for searching :)
Even so, it's great, I made two icons with parameters for myself. Thank you once again.
PS: Could this also be done for trains? Well, actually, what wouldn't be possible. I have an icon for it with me, and although it only displays one connection, it suits me. The problem is only in constantly writing out the time and date. You kicked me with your article, I'll take a look at the parameters and do something about it. Well, I'll share it later. ;-)
I could definitely give a train version (switched below via the link)...

So here is my train search post:
I pasted the following link into my web browser:
http://ttwap.chaps.cz/conn.aspx?OP=&Lang=C&Form...
When you confirm it, it will open in titer format, but you can enlarge it as you like with two fingers and then save it again as an icon on the homescreen - this will then open it enlarged. I think it is now clear how you can pre-define the boarding and exit station - changing the parameter in the link.
It is a display of the result of only one connection, but you can easily load another one and it is graphically clear. I would still like to get rid of the advertisement there (or put an apple one there) and make it an icon, but that's more for our apple lover. ;-)

Stop timetables would be useful to me, but I'm thinking of making my own webapp when I have some time :)
Stop timetables would be useful to me, but I'm thinking of making my own webapp when I have some time, basically just for myself, because few people use the ZJR ;-)
I don't know where or how, but I somehow got to the ZJR yesterday, I just can't find it now. I think it was also in the mobile version. When I let you lead.
Normally there are idos in MHD and ZJR, but it is completely unoptimized (just idos no :D)

Well, I think it could still be quite interesting to connect it with localization, with a simple javascript where you can find out the location and ask some smart DB about the nearest bus/train stop, then just choose the destination and immediately know from the current location how and when to get there .

Well, I would welcome that right on public transport. Or simply find a public transport stop near the place I show on the map. It's not such a problem on a classic computer, but what about an iPhone on the street?

could I ask if there will ever be timetables for Opava public transport as well? Because Orlová, Krnov, Havířov and such small towns are there, so the absence of Opava makes me a little sad :-)

Here is a question for the company Chaps, which takes care of the online version of the daily advice in CR. Or to someone from the Opava public transport service.

I found rudeness!
These orders are much more sophisticated, they don't load the crazy side of IDOS, and they are generally more intelligent.
