Unexpectedly and without any prior announcement, the cult adventure game Journey arrived on iOS yesterday, which shortly after its debut on PlayStation 3 in 2012 earned more than a hundred different awards and even entered the Guinness Book of Records twice.

Even today, nine years later, players consider Journey to be an excellent title with a great, albeit relatively short, story that can be played repeatedly. Your mission is to explore the remains of an ancient world and reach the top of a giant mountain, with some seriously cool visuals along the way. You can explore the world either independently, or invite random companions (other real players) and help each other in finding the object.

That it is a really great title is also proven by the countless awards that Journey has won. For example, it has already been named game of the year several times and entered the Guinness Book of Records as the highest rated indie game and also as the most critically acclaimed PS4 game in the Art House category.

Journey was originally released for the PlayStation 3 in 2012. Three years later, it made its way to the PlayStation 4, and as of June of this year, Windows PC users can also play it. The latest port for iPhones and iPads was taken care of by the independent developer studio thatgamecompany, which is also behind the game Sky: Children of Light, which was first introduced alongside the new iPhone X at an Apple keynote and debuted on iOS and tvOS in the middle of this month.

Journey is for download in the App Store for a one-time fee of CZK 129 – the price is final, the game does not require any additional in-app purchases. It is compatible with iPhones, iPads and iPod touches with iOS 12.2 or later installed.
