Have you always dreamed of working in design? Are you a fan of the apple company and consider Jony Ive a design genius? If you have relevant experience and command English at a very good level, you now have the opportunity to apply for a job in Ive's team.

Try to imagine being part of that important team at Apple responsible for designing the look of the most iconic products down to the smallest detail. In the team involved in the creation of the design of apple products - and not only - one of the jobs has just become vacant.

Apple is currently actively accepting applications for the position Industrial Designer. The selected candidate will get a dream position in the Industrial Design Group at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino. The Industrial Design Group is a team of twenty designers that, under the leadership of the legendary Jony Ive, acts as the "central brain" of the design of iconic Apple devices.

An employee in the position of Industrial Designer is tasked with "inventing objects that do not exist and managing the process that brings them to life" - at least according to the words of former Apple designer Christopher Stringer, who described the position in this way in an interview with Leander Kahney, the author of the book about Jony Ive and editor of the Cult of Mac site. An advertisement that appeared on the server dezeen, states that the applicant should, among other things, be "passionate about materials and their discovery", should have at least basic experience with 3D software, education in the field and very good communication skills. The server states September 10 as the deadline. A similar ad appeared two weeks ago on Indeed, a website specializing in job opportunities. As part of the admission process, the candidate should submit a portfolio in which, among other things, he proves that he understands the production process, a sense of aesthetics and a high level of work commitment are also a matter of course.

Leander Kahney's aforementioned publication says that the vast majority of Apple employees never set foot in the design team's office. In the design department, everything is kept strictly under wraps and the members of the relevant team spend long hours working together.
