At the time of the launch of the iPhone 5, Apple installed a 4-inch display, when some competitors (certainly Samsung) already offered larger displays. If some reviewers timidly pointed out that as a premium device, Apple could have installed something larger (which was already available), they were rebuffed by the management with a reference to the advertisement that 4 inches is ideal, ergonomics and size are not everything. That's certainly a valid argument (I have an iPhone 5 myself and I'm not going to change, the size suits me), but I found it a little "cheep" that yesterday the same executives masturbated over an amazingly large screen that displays so much more. What was not long ago useless and unimportant is suddenly the biggest improvement of the new model. Just grist to the mill for all critics with a memory longer than last year's model, who label fans of these pure marketing noises passed off as "events" as Apple sheep. And I state this as a satisfied user of the Apple ecosystem.
I think that 4" is still the ideal and maximum size for "one-handed operation". Now they have added larger diagonals to the menu, but nowhere have I registered a statement from Apple that 4,7 or 5,5" is ideal for one-handed operation XNUMX″.

I just zoomed in on Safari to fit the image above physically to my 5S and then I'm looking at the iPhone 6 Plus next door and I think I'll go for it. It looks pretty cool to hold even in one hand... I'll try it physically and then I'll probably buy it in 64GB. I like the big display, maybe 4,7 would be enough for me, but the 6 Plus has significantly longer endurance and, in addition, the optical stabilizer of the camera :-)

I have big hands and after printing the model and gluing it on cardboard, borrowing a friend's Note II, I've made up my mind. So I read it here. I've been using Apple for a few years now, switching from Win, my first Iphone was a 3GS. Now I have an Ipad mini, an Ipad Air, a Macbook Pro retina, IP5 and I am satisfied as a whole. I don't classify the products as good or bad, I understand it as a whole, in my opinion the most important and important thing is not the HW, the most important thing is the SW. Yes, even OS X and iOS are not error-free, but try Win and Android again after a while, it's crazy. Totally unusable. Until I got to know Apple, I thought that having to reinstall Win every six months was a completely normal thing.

I mostly agree. We simply don't do anything with the design and other elements, and if we don't like it, we have no choice but to keep the old device with "worse" functionality, because in the future the design will simply change all the time.
But what Apple bugs me about with phones (only with them), and our economy also contributes a lot to this, is the price.
