The iOS operating system is equipped with a number of native applications, thanks to which the device can be used immediately. Despite the capabilities of the device itself, many of them are still missing, even though they could actually work. Now we will therefore shine a light on the so-called useful apps. From this category, we have available, for example, Measurements or Spirit Levels, which in reality work quite well and can be of great service if necessary.

Useful apps in iOS

Today's iPhones feature modern technologies, which could make them the perfect DIY device. As mentioned above, Apple phones could theoretically offer significantly more useful apps that could be used, for example, in the workshop. We could start right away with the LiDAR scanner. The Pro models currently have this, which improves the quality of portrait images, night mode for photos, work with augmented reality and more. In general, thanks to it, the surroundings can be scanned in 3D. So why doesn't the iPhone come with a native 3D object scanning app? It could definitely come in handy, and at the same time apple pickers would have hours of fun with it.

But it wouldn't have to end there. Likewise, a number of people could enjoy an application for some form of angle and noise measurement. A tool for measuring light intensity wouldn't even be harmful, when the displays actually now have sensors for automatic brightness adjustment, or a program with the help of which it would be possible to measure the current temperature in the room in relatively more detail along with the air humidity.

The possibilities are practically countless. In any case, the interesting thing is that the iPhone could already offer most of the mentioned applications, since it is equipped with the necessary hardware. Just to measure temperature and humidity, it would be necessary to implement new sensors, but on the other hand, we would get more detailed information about the weather without having to be connected to the Internet. Of course, we would have to be outside to get the relevant data.

When will the new apps come?

At the end, there is still a fundamental question. When will these useful apps even come? According to the leaks and speculations so far, there is no talk of any such change. As already mentioned, iPhones are theoretically ready for a number of such changes, and all you have to do is create a native application. But whether we will ever see it at all is understandably unclear.
