Apple is still constantly improving iOS 14, but people are already speculating what iOS 15 will come with. According to the latest information, it is to be presented in the summer, again at the WWDC 2021 conference. The exact date of the conference is not yet known, but it is usually in June. A beta version of the system will be presented to developers at the conference. It is being improved for another three months so that it can then be presented to the general public in September together with the new iPhone model.
Support for the iPhone 6s will also end
The hottest question is always which devices the new update will work on. Already with the arrival of iOS 14, it was assumed that system support would no longer be available for iPhone 6s, 6s plus and iPhone SE of the first generation. Surprisingly, this did not happen and iOS 14 could be installed on all devices with version iOS 13.
It is therefore not much of a surprise that, according to preliminary information, iOS 15 will no longer support the aforementioned models. All these devices have an A9 processor. A15 and later will probably be needed for iOS 10 to work. People who own iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus can breathe a sigh of relief for now. High interest in it buy an iPhone 7 case means that people still use this model a lot and are satisfied with it.
Apparently, some iPads will also see the end of support. Apple tablets run on a similar iPadOS operating system. With iPadOS 15, support for iPad 4 Mini, iPad Air 2 and iPad 5th generation will apparently end.
New choices for default apps?
iOS 14 already came with a number of new gadgets, but some were not fully completed. Therefore, experts expect that this year, for example, Apple will introduce an update, thanks to which people will be able to set other default applications on their mobile than those from Apple. With some it is already possible, for example mail or a search engine, but not with the calendar, for example.According to the portal Macworld the year 2020, marked by the pandemic, showed weaknesses in FaceTime. According to them, unlike other communication software, it can hardly be used for a conference call. An essential function in the form of presentation options is missing here. If you want to present something to colleagues via screen sharing, it is not possible. It is assumed that this feature will appear in iOS 15.
Further changes are still expected in the Widget settings, which came with iOS 14. Work with them is still limited, for example, when the screen is locked. The application developers themselves should participate in their improvement.
