A few days have passed since Christmas this year and currently most of us are, if possible, at least a little bit looking forward to New Year's Eve and the New Year. If you found a wrapped iPhone under the tree on Christmas Day, there is probably no need to explain how much this gift can please. For many, it can also be an entry into a completely new ecosystem, which they may not be used to anyway. Also for this reason, we have prepared a list of several applications for you, which are necessary and, above all, will significantly facilitate eventual adaptation to the new system. So come check out our list of the best assistants that will help you get lost in the world of iOS, whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newbie.
gmail
Who does not know the legendary Gmail from Google, which offers an efficient and, above all, intuitive way to manage your email inbox and, above all, integrate your agenda with, for example, a calendar. Although Apple can boast of a relatively high-quality background in the form of the native Apple Mail application, there is nothing better than having all correspondence in one place and, above all, using multi-platform support, thanks to which you can simply open your mailbox on a Mac, for example, and make changes in real time. In addition, the almost perfect connection of the ecosystem, whether it is Google Drive or Google Calendar, is also pleasing.

1Password
Although just a few years ago the concept of a shared password manager was completely unimaginable and somewhat turned on its head, recent times have clearly shown us that it pays to rely on a third party rather than your own memory. For this reason, we have also included the 1Password application in the list, which serves as a universal password manager and, in addition to superior security, also offers an intuitive user interface, the option of authentication and identity verification using FaceID or Touch ID, or automatic filling in of login data on selected websites. Well, in short, having your helper pays off in this regard and trust us, it will make your life much easier.

Overcast
Who doesn't love podcasts. The possibility to switch off for a while and listen to an interesting conversation or lecture. Although Apple offers its own solution in the form of the Podcasts application, it is still a relatively austere alternative that works and offers interesting content, but the competition is still somewhat further. The ideal solution could be the Overcast application, which offers an incredibly intuitive user interface, a lot of advanced functions and, above all, full support for Apple Watch and CarPlay. In addition, the application is completely free, and even if there are some ads here and there, you can get by even with the free version.

MyFitnessPal
It might sound a bit cheesy with Christmas just around the corner, but we all know how excessive sugar intake can wreak havoc with our weight. Of course, it's silly to be careful about what we eat during the holidays, but it's still worth taking a look at some of the statistics from time to time so you know how much work awaits you next year. That's where the MyFitnessPal app comes in, probably the best and most versatile helper, whether you're trying to lose weight, maintain weight, or even gain muscle mass. In addition to a huge database of meals and an overview of calories, the application also maps your movement, intake and expenditure and, above all, tries to constantly motivate you to stick to your plans.

Things
You know that feeling when you have a few leftovers from work, but somehow it all comes together and you don't really know what to really focus on. The ideal solution at this point would be to use some sort of to-do list. But there is an abundance of them on the market and they are often not intuitive or comprehensive enough for me to stick with them. The Things application is a great helper, thanks to which you can plan your activities in advance and use an intuitive interface to track exactly what, when and how you have to complete. There is use of almost all functions from Apple, starting with 3D Touch and ending with dynamic notifications. In short, it is such a universal and reliable partner.
And one word of advice about passwords:
If you are able to remember e.g.
KaReL@NoVaK-01/JaNuAr:1+9+6-9naROzeN@&
So you have a universal password that contains your name, surname, date of birth, meets all the conditions that are normally required for passwords, i.e. They contain an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character. So if your name is Karel Novák and you were born on January 1, 1969, you're in for a treat. Set this password as universal for all access, and you have peace of mind.
Do you really recommend setting one "one-size-fits-all" password for all access?
Jirka is an adrenaline player :). Tribute to those who can't be helped ……
I think a long discussion could be held on the universality of passwords for applications and services. It is better to have one complex password that meets all the elements (length, characters, lower/uppercase letters, numbers,...) . Or having a dozen passwords that a person has trouble remembering. Then he simplifies them or writes them down. Ideally even if they have to be changed after 90 days.
Have you heard of password managers? If you prefer a "universal" password just because you don't remember more, you should try one.
Jiri: ?????? truth. It's a fool's errand.

Without it, I am unable to use my iPhone at least to a limited extent
I also forgot Waze and of course the banking app and the parking app
Google, google, google... why don't you buy an android for heaven's sake
Because I kind of had an apple at home when I lent my phone to my partner and I've been planning to buy a new one for a year, but if she's already heading towards it, will she introduce something new again? so now I'm waiting to see if the last Note from Samsung will be released or not and I'll go for Xiaomi, but have they stopped making a retractable camera? it is difficult. However, I will be happy to get rid of the apple, I already shot an air rifle a few years ago, and the XS will probably be the next adept
When you have an iPhone, do you know that you can log into your iCloud account on your computer, where you have the same, simple, reliable and secure experience as on your phone? Will he find synchronized simple notes, email, his photos, his contacts, etc.? It means you don't need messy gmail and complicated keep, almost same calendar etc etc.
All must have apps from the article are completely useless for me personally.
I am signing this.
Why Gmail when there is mail?
Why 1Password when there is a system application?
Why Things if there are reminders?
Exactly.. completely useless applications that are part of the system.. eg Overcast.. the system Podcast works great.. but who wants to screw up a new iPhone.. so be it.
For myself, I recommend LumaFusion for video editing, 1Password for passwords, Shazam (you can even tell Siri to recognize a song), Youtube, Stocard, Whats App, Pick it up?, MedFox (medication reminder, Relive, Twitter, operator and bank app, Blesk TV program. Timetables, Infuse, Snapseed, Google Translate, for the rest I recommend using Apple apps, such as Microsoft Edge web browser. Chrome is a juggernaut and takes up a lot of memory on both Mac and iOS devices, and the website loads slowly in it.
