Each of us has certainly experienced more than once that he needed to find out some information, get to a certain place or simply browse the Internet, but the battery condition of the smartphone did not allow him to do so, and there was no electrical outlet anywhere nearby or you did not have a charger at hand. The first problem can be solved by buying a power bank, but of course it can happen that you forget the power bank or the charger. These tricks will tell you how to save your phone's battery as much as possible in addition to turning on low power mode.

Turn off automatic background updates

A large number of applications, whether native or third-party, perform quite a lot of activities in the background, such as syncing or downloading data. Unfortunately, this can affect battery life, but luckily updates can be disabled. Open the application Settings, go down to the section In general and tap on Background updates. Here you can either disable updates off switches background updates, or deactivate switches for individual applications separately.

Consumption control

If you don't want to turn off background updates, there's a simple tool on your iPhone that records app usage. You move to it so that in native Settings open the section Battery. For something below will show you what percentage of the battery each app has used, and you can look at the statistics for the last 24 hours and 10 days. In addition to the data mentioned above, you can find out whether it was consumption in the background, during audio playback or during use. The moment you find that the application is working too much in the background, just disable updates for it or try to find a suitable and more economical alternative.

Turn on automatic locking

It's not uncommon for you to forget to lock your phone while in use. For example, if you scroll through social networks before going to bed, you may fall asleep and leave your phone unlocked, which is not good for battery life. You turn on the locking by pressing v Settings move to the icon Display and brightness and after clicking on Lockout choose from the options 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 4 minutes or 5 minutes. If, on the other hand, you do not want automatic locking, tick possibility Never.

Turn on dark mode

In iOS and iPadOS 13, Apple finally came with Dark Mode. But whether you think it was late compared to the Android competition, or you don't think it's important, the dark mode can save the battery quite significantly. To activate it, move to again Settings and select Display and brightness. Tap to change the mode Dark, you can too turn on choice Automatically, when dark mode will be on until dawn or you set your own schedule. You can also run Dark Mode from the Control Center, but you have to enter it in the Settings -> Control Center.

Turn on optimized charging

In addition to dark mode, with the arrival of iOS and iPadOS 13, optimized battery charging also appeared. This feature ensures that the device remembers when you charge it, and if it's done overnight, it keeps the battery at 80% while charging itself so it doesn't overcharge. It is not directly related to the endurance itself, but the battery should be usable longer thanks to this. To enable this function in Settings go down to the section Battery and locate the icon Battery health. Now move to the icon here Optimized battery charging and a switch activate.
