For a month now, you can have a non-original USB charger for an iPhone or iPod replaced by an original one with a bitten apple logo at Apple, which you will receive at a discounted price. The program for exchanging chargers is also available in the Czech Republic, which is why we found out what needs to be done to get an original USB charger.
To begin with, you need to clarify where you can so-called USB Power Adapter Takeback Program apply - either in Apple Stores or at authorized Apple services. There is no Apple Store in the Czech Republic, for an original charger you need to go to one of the four authorized service centers.
It is about Czech service, I will repair it, ITS a VSP DATA. However, not everyone has the same conditions. Because of the contracts that Apple concluded with Czech operators, in some services they will not take the charger that you bought with the iPhone from one of the Czech operators.
To successfully use the exchange program, you need to come to iOpravna, ITS and VSP DATA with a charger from an iPhone that was purchased in free distribution, i.e. from anywhere but not from Czech operators. Such pieces are accepted only by the Czech service, which has an internal policy set differently than the other three services.
[do action=”infobox-2″]Overview of services:
- Czech service - any iPhone, iPad or iPod
- iOpravna - iPhone only from free distribution, any iPad or iPod
- ITS – iPhone only from free distribution, any iPad or iPod
- VSP DATA – iPhone only from free distribution, any iPad or iPod[/do]
Along with the charger, you must also bring the warranty card or the device itself (iPhone, iPad, iPod) to the service center to verify the serial number. The service will take care of the rest. You should usually receive your new charger within a few days.
The discounted price of the original USB charger in the Czech Republic is 314 crowns including VAT, the regular price is 469 crowns.
The exchange program ends on October 18.
I've already been to the Czech service (Ostrava, they only forward to Brno or Prague, so it's basically just a collection point), they didn't know about the program at all, so they started burning the phones, after that they wanted me a receipt from a non-original charger, without that that's not possible, so we'll see what the result will be.
They can't want Paragon, that's nonsense and they're making it up. It's not in the rules.
They called today and want a SN: iPhone or iPad, so for CZK 318 including VAT. This does not affect the cable, only the charger. So now I'm waiting for them to send it to Český Servis in Ostrava.
Yes, SN is in the conditions, you can now enter one piece on each device ;-).
You really have to be desperate to go to a Czech service center to change the charger. Well, it depends on how far you have it. But a person who buys a phone for 20K considers his time to be so valuable that he would rather buy a new one with a charger for 500 than go to the "institute" to argue whether or not he has all the documents and how long he will have his phone there he has to leave the current charger for "examination" to be told in 30 days that he has the one from APPLE.
They should trade piece for piece (no guesswork). They should dispose of the old non-original charger in an ecological way, so it doesn't have to be just about money.
For me personally, it is definitely not worth going to Brno or Prague, it is better to buy a charger as you write and throw the non-original/old one in the collection yard (only then the cost of disposal is borne by the city and not by Apple).
I was only surprised by the end of the program tomorrow..
With nad, he should get the charger right away, right? Such were the original rules of Apple. In addition, you can easily bring a charger from the Chinese (which was the main purpose).
