Higher quality is certainly there, but even an experienced audiophile will not engage in pointless comparisons of how many times the quality is better. It's like saying that one pear is several times tastier than the other. And it really can't be compared with the size of the data file. Well, the second thing is what the listener plays the "several times" better quality music on and what he reproduces it from. And last but not least, to what extent he is able to distinguish that quality himself and if he has the right conditions for it. That is, to take it on a trip by subway, train, bus or go for a run and play it from your mobile phone to wireless plugs, for that Apple Music quality is an unnecessary luxury. The bitrate for Premium and HiFi is several times higher than the 320 Kbps standard. And the fact that you will need high-quality wired headphones for listening probably doesn't need to be mentioned - from that point on, below the first paragraph, there is an article where the reader will find everything they need.
You have no idea what your talking about. Bitrate is 320 Kbps for Premium and CD quality for Hifi. Anyone who has ever bought a CD, i.e. the older ones, the younger ones are no longer up to it, knows what it is about. And Master quality isn't even in Tidal's Black Friday offer. So don't expect any miracles - listeners on mobile phones or some mainstream players probably won't even notice any increase in quality - there's no reason to.
You're right, I was wrong. Classic Premium has 320 Kbps, HiFi has lossless CD quality. Anyway, according to the Tidal website, Tidal Masters is part of the Tidal HiFi subscription.
Tom, everything is working, or should be. If you use the more expensive option, you will have access to content in Master quality. The problem is that, for example, on a Mac, it won't work that way in the browser, but you have to install their app. Well, the app is worth a fortune. Error messages keep popping up, you can't create a single playlist, in short, it's bugged like a pig. In this regard, Apple Music works like a charm. Damage. If Tidal doesn't do something about it, it's useless.
I tried the Hifi quality on the LG SK10Y, which connects directly to the Internet, and then on the Sony WH-1000XM1 headphones (connected by cable and bluetooth with aptX (=theoretically worse quality)) and I have to admit that it was better than Spotify, cable, non-cable etc. I just didn't hear much. Maybe a little yes, but the question is whether I would recognize it in a blind test ;-). In addition, today you can set different equalizers in headphones or speakers, and adjustments that change everything and everyone listens a little according to what they know and prefer ;-).

It didn't exactly give the impression of trying to be a professional text, or anything more than interesting for the reader. Your finding flies in the text at all costs, correcting and instructing the author, and showing that you know your way around is laughable, and for me you just made a mockery of yourself. I consider myself an audiophile. I own some very expensive headphones, a really very expensive HiFi system, and an Astell&Kern portable player. I have a Tidal subscription. You must be a happy person. It doesn't work on my iPad or Mac. So the apps work, but you won't create a single playlist, you won't add anything to your collection, I keep getting messages on the Mac saying that the content is no longer available, it's just a bug. I wrote to support, they apologized, it's already resolved and I can enjoy their services, but the truth is, nothing was resolved, it's all for nothing. And I'm sitting here with equipment costing over 100 and it's useless. I play as a writer, the sound is beautiful, but this is really just having time to sit and browse. I won't save anything, I won't mark it, this is really of no use. That's why Apple Music is the perfect service for any occasion, anywhere, anytime.

It looks to me like they are having issues with the accounts being created in this event. I'm logged into their application, I've tried logging out, restarting, logging in, but it doesn't help. It keeps throwing errors and asking me to double check that I'm logged in. I hope they take this issue seriously and fix it quickly, because for the price it looks like a pretty good service, but that's not going to get you a good name or an influx of customers. This is actually a hundred times better than Apple Music - for most users and for wider use. Tidal has a very narrow profile and lacks its advantages for most users. Those who actually use it and appreciate it know why. Everyone else (most) doesn't have to waste much time with it, especially not when it's getting this angry now.

Personally, as a rocker archaeologist, I can highly recommend Tidal. Wide range, quality sound. News immediately. I use a Bluesound Node 2 streamer, it can do MQA and has a great control application.
