The iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 operating systems also came with the Shared with you function, among other things. Its purpose is to make it easier for you to access shared content from applications such as Music, Apple TV, Photos, Podcasts or Safari. Through Messages, you can even react directly from the application where you open the content. But there is even more that this feature offers.

Conversation

Content that is shared with you is also automatically flagged in the respective apps. This allows you to find out who shared what content with you at any time later, so you can easily continue the conversation related to the shared content. That said, in any app that supports the Shared With You feature, you can reply to the person who sent you content directly from that app.

  • To do this, go to the Shared with you menu in the relevant application.
  • Tap the content that has been shared with you.
  • Select the sender's name label.
  • Write a reply and click send.

Pin content

In the Messages app, you can pin content that interests you. You can always find it easily in the Shared with you section, just as it will be recommended to you in the top places in the search.

  • Open the application News.
  • Find it in message Contents, which you want to pin.
  • Hold on him finger.
  • Choose an offer Pin.

If you want to unpin, you do it the same way, only the menu is displayed here Unpin. You then do such unpinning in the same way across all applications that provide it. If you browse the content in the Shared with you section, it is shown here under the gesture of holding your finger for a long time Remove. Pinned content can then be found in Messages when you click on the conversation that contains the pin and choose a name at the top.

However, it may also happen that you do not want to display the content that is shared with you in the Shared with you section. In the case of messages, just tap on the name of the conversation again, typically the person's name or the name of the group at the top of the screen. When you turn off the option here View in Shared with you section and click Done to remove all content from the conversation in Shared with you. But of course it will still remain in the conversation.
