How to create a ringtone from a favorite song in iTunes or directly on your iPhone with the help of the music application GarageBand?
iTunes
For this version of creating a ringtone, you will need a computer and iTunes with a music library (or the song you want to use). Later, a USB cable will be needed to connect the iPhone to the computer.
1 step
Choose a song from your iTunes music library to use as your ringtone. Select the option to open a more detailed menu of the given track Information, which is available after clicking the right mouse button on the song, or via the menu File or via the keyboard shortcut CMD+I. Then go to the section Elections.
2 step
Ve Elections you set the start and end of the ringtone. The ringtone should be 30 to 40 seconds long, so you choose the part you want to use. After choosing the starting and ending section, the given boxes are unchecked and you press the button OK.
3 step
Although it's not visible at first glance, the song is now saved in the length you selected, so if you start it, only the specified section of it will be played. Assuming the song is in MP3 format, mark it, select it File and option Create a version for AAC. In no time, a song will be created with the same name, but already in AAC format and only the length you limited the original song in MP3 format.
After this step, don't forget to go back to the more detailed menu of the original song (Information > Options) and set it back to its original length. You will be creating a ringtone from the AAC version of this song, and shortening the original song is pointless.
4 step
Now exit iTunes and go to the folder on your computer Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Music, where you can find the artist from which you selected a song to create a ringtone.
5 step
To create a ringtone, you need to manually change the ending of your shortened song. The .m4a (.m4audio) extension that the song will currently have must be overwritten to .m4r (.m4ringtone).
6 step
You will now copy the ringtone in .m4r format to iTunes (drag it to the iTunes window or simply open it in iTunes). Since it is a ringtone, or sound, it will not be stored in the music library as such, but in a section Sounds.
7 step
You then connect the iPhone to the computer and synchronize the selected sound (ringtone) with your device. You can then find the tone in iPhone v Settings > Sound > Ringtone, from where you can set it as a ringtone.
GarageBand
For this procedure, all you need is your iPhone with the GarageBand iOS app on it and a locally stored song that you want to make a ringtone from.
1 step
Download GarageBand from the App Store. The app is free if your device is new enough that you bought it with iOS 8 pre-installed. Otherwise, it costs $5. Make sure you have enough free space on your iPhone, as GarageBand takes up around 630MB depending on the device. If you already have GarageBand downloaded and installed, open it.
2 step
After opening GarageBand, press the "+" icon in the upper left corner to select any instrument (eg Drummer).
3 step
Once you get to the main screen of this instrument, click the button View tracks in the left part of the upper bar.
4 step
After entering this stop interface, select the button Loop Browser in the right part of the top bar and select a section Hudba, where you select the song you want to make into a ringtone. You can select a song by holding your finger on the given song and then dragging it to the track interface.
5 step
Once the song is selected in this interface, erase the sound of the previous instrument (in our case the Drummer) by holding your finger on the highlighted region of the melody.
6 step
Click on the small "+" icon in the upper right part of the screen (below the main bar) and set the length of the section of the selected song.
7 step
After setting the section length, press the arrow button in the left part of the top bar and save the edited track to your tracks (My compositions).
8 step
By holding your finger on the saved song icon, the top bar will give you options for what to do with the song. Select the first icon in the left part of the top bar (the share button), click on the section Ringtone and select an option Export.
After the song (or ringtone) is exported successfully, press the button Use audio as… and you choose what you want to use it for.
What is that icon in the dock? FB Messenger as an OS X app?
This is an unofficial client for Messenger called Goofy. It works well, I recommend it. Link here: http://www.goofyapp.com
I'll try, thanks :)
It worked for me for about a week and I loved it. But now the conversations have stopped updating and I don't get new messages, so it's a total bummer. Skoda?
You coke, it's as complicated as a phrase.
And which one is free and works?
Ringtones for iPhone Free, Ringtone designer, Ringtones.
Este Ringtone Garage-create
You have to try what works. All are free
Before you try them all, you're done with this a long time ago ;)
iRinger for PC/Mac, I've been using it since iPhone 3G and no stress, 2 clicks
I've also been using iRinger since 3GS and it's always fine
The biggest fun is when you have to change the 40s version of the song to the converted full song within the file system (same name, same format) before uploading to your phone, iTunes will then easily push a 3-minute ringtone into your phone, but pst, Apple probably doesn't know about it yet , it works even now on iOS 9 :-)
Be careful, back up the 40s version, iTunes will eventually figure out that the file doesn't have 40s behind it and then they don't want to sync it with the iPhone anymore :-)
Hi, could you please elaborate a bit? Step by step? Somehow I didn't figure out how to get the 3-minute ringtone there. Thanks
Much faster and without corrections, I can make it even more detailed, but I would see it until the weekend :-(

Hello,
odkaz https://www.dropbox.com/s/6pfm… reports that it is expired.
Can you please send the instructions to my email? I've been struggling with this for the second day and I can't get the unique song to my phone. The song is about one and a half minutes long.
Thank you
