Dark Mode has been consulted by all users of Apple's operating systems for a really long time. On iOS, we have encountered at most the so-called color inversion, which is slightly closer to Dark Mode, but it is still not the same. As if Apple is trying to screw us up and screw us up. We can meet the same case in macOS. Again, this is not 100% Dark Mode, rather just a form of it and above all a design element. It consists in the fact that through the settings of your Mac or MacBook, you can set up an elegant dark user experience. You will find out how in the paragraph below.

How to Enable "Dark Mode" in macOS

The procedure is very simple, just follow the steps below:

  • Click on in the top bar apple logo icon
  • In the drop-down menu that appears, click on System Preferences…
  • A window will open in which we open a subcategory in the upper left corner In general
  • Here we check the box Dark Dock and menu bar

Once you check this button, the function is automatically activated. You don't need to reboot your device or anything like that. The dark setting is activated automatically and works immediately. If you decide you don't like the dark user experience and would like to go back to the light one, just uncheck the box using the procedure above.

In my opinion, the dark dock and menu bar feature is very useful. Since I like dark colors and prefer them to light ones, I like the simple dark design of the user interface more from a design point of view. I've been actively using this feature since I've owned a MacBook. Finally, I will mention that not only the dock and the menu lines will change, but also, for example, the volume icon that appears on the Mac display after you change the volume using a key. You can see examples of dark environments in the gallery below.
