Jan Zdarsa Creating an account in the iTunes Store is sometimes not fun, even if we want to do it the way it should be done, for example with credit in hand. It often happens that registration in the Appstore is simply unavailable to us from the Czech Republic, because the iTunes Store, for example, does not accept credit cards. Another drawback is that some applications are available for example only in the US Appstore. Or why be poor about iTunes artwork downloads? Or maybe you bought one apple ipad and do you need a US account for it to work properly? Or don't you have a credit card and would you at least download the games for free anyway? So what now?
It's not too difficult to create an account on the US iTunes Store. Such an account is created in a few seconds and you will then be able to download artwork for music directly in iTunes, download applications from the US Appstore and much more. Just follow my instructions.
First step
You definitely need to have iTunes installed for all of this.
Second step
In iTunes, click on iTunes Store in the left menu. When the store is loaded, scroll down to the bottom of the iTunes Store homepage. You have to choose here in which country you want to create an account. I I recommend the United States, because you will find the most in this store.
The third step
Go back to the top of the page and click on the "Appstore" link in the left column (the last item in the top left iTunes Store menu).
Fourth step
Choose one of the free apps, I recommend choosing one of the "Top Free Apps" on the right side.
The fifth step
When the description of the game/application is loaded, click the "Get App" button.
Sixth step
A login dialog will pop up, here click on "Create New Account". On the screen that will follow, click the "Continue" button, and on the next screen, check "I have read and agree to the iTunes Terms and Conditions" and click the "Continue" button again.
Seventh step
On this screen, it is necessary to fill in an email, which must not be fictitious. You will receive a confirmation later. So set your email, password and fill in the question with the answer (in case you lose your password) and click "Continue". You can untick newsletters, it depends only on you.
Eighth step
If you did everything exactly according to the instructions, you should have a "None" field to choose from among payment methods. Tick him off!
The ninth step
Then fill in all the information that is required here. You can easily write fictitious data here. If you don't want to invent anything, I recommend the site Fake Name Generator. It will create a fictional identity for you, whether it is a name, address, city, state, zip code or phone number. You can copy everything and hit "Continue".
Tenth step
The message on the screen should let you know that everything went well and you will receive a confirmation link by email. So log in to your email and check if you have it in your inbox. If it's not there, check your spam box too.
Eleventh step
Click on the confirmation link in the body of the email. iTunes should open, where you will need to sign in.
From now on you can use yours iTunes US account fully!

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with the classic, I've had an account on the US Store for a long time and I don't care when it will be operational here. I buy music, movies, etc... I recommend.

@Giger: I haven't personally tried it yet, if I do I'll write about it. But apparently it shouldn't be a problem to have two accounts for one iPhone or iPod. In short, iTunes doesn't pay much attention to this. So you can easily have a CZ account for paid apps and a US account for apps that are not on the CZ store. Alternatively, you can only keep a US account and buy a gift card on eBay or elsewhere - credit for your account.
Two items go to my CZ Store with a credit card, and to the US Store I withdraw for free and no problem

@Martas: You don't pay for the free apps.. for the paid ones, you can create an account in CR (Poland) with a payment card that allows Internet payments. If you want to pay with US credit, I recommend going to ebay and looking for an "itunes gift card".
And if I give Poland, it's legal.
I'm just afraid that there won't be any problem with it..

I know you probably won't do much with this, but I'll try anyway. I followed your instructions and got stuck at point 8, that is, 9 (ie assuming we don't have a back card + filling in "personal" data). I tried to fill in my own errors and generate something with the help of the generator, but I always end up with the voice "You did not complete the entire form. Please enter your credit card number. The credit card expiration date you entered has already passed. Please enter a valid expiration date."

@Zero: Based on what it says, it looks like you're missing the None item and it wants your credit card. If the None shelf is there, then it's strange.. try to send me an email (you need to send an email via contact) and I can try it..

Unfortunately, it really looks like Apple has canceled this registration method. If a person gives None, then they want a Redeem code, so it wasn't a drive. But google helped (set to search for "itunes free song redeem" in the last week), I found some redeem codes from Starbucks..

Hello, I'm here for the first time and I've only read this discussion thread, so I'd just like to add my experience. Today (or yesterday - it's already after midnight) I created 2 accounts on the US store without using any payment card or gift card. I don't know what's wrong with you, it seemed simple to me. I had an account on the UK store and now because of the US gift I created an account on the US store as well. A few hours later, I created an account for my father-in-law in the same way - he has a new iPhone and didn't have an account then.
The procedure is nothing extra. I simply clicked on the iTunes Store in iTunes, then checked at the very bottom that it was a US store, went to the application menu (App Store), selected a free application, clicked on the GET APP button and then it asked for something about logging in or creating a new account . Regarding the creation of a new account, I would like to add that I used my normal email address from Seznam.cz, my normal name (and date of birth), but I entered the American address - direct Apple address - see apple.com -> Contact Us, just copy it. It's confusing for me - PSC is 95014, etc. The phone number was a bit of a problem, so enter 420 in the first box and some 7 numbers in the second. Regarding payment, choose the normal None option. That's all. A message with a link arrived in my email within moments, which I clicked and everything was done. So - I log in with that email address (preferably Czech) (as an Apple ID) and enter the password I chose.
It should work for you too. Can't? I should also add that I have everything updated and I use Mac OS X, however, my father-in-law based the account on Win XP and recently downloaded and installed iTunes for Win.
Does anyone have experience with buying a gift card for a US store? They can be bought on eBay for very nice prices, really tempting, but I'm afraid of running into a scammer. Buy a $200 card for half…
@SteveJSF: I have enough experience. The problem is as follows. Gift cards can't be bought below cost more or less anywhere, so if someone is selling them really well below cost (perhaps 1/2 or 1/3 of the price), that's not okay. But there is no problem that he would not send the code. He will send it to you. The problem is that these gift cards are bought before the stolen credit card (in 99%). Moreover, the user usually sells these cards from hacked accounts. You may notice that the write up of feedback regarding the sale of itunes gift cards will not be older than 2-3 weeks. Before, that user always sold something else. As soon as they figure it out, they block his account on eBay, but he usually manages to send you the code. So if you buy this extremely cheaply on eBay, then plan several purchases in iTunes to spend at least the money you put into it.. Then there is the risk that they can block your account at any time (but it is not a rule). .

I don't know much about those gift cards - if there are more types, where you can get them everywhere, how much they cost... You can probably buy something like that on the iTunes store, but... somehow I didn't understand how much it would cost (I guess I was expecting a discount).

You can easily buy an iTunes gift card on eBay... but you have to expect that a $50 gift card will really cost $50 - $55. In addition, they often have written in the auction that they are willing to send an iTunes gift card not only by email, but also by post (in reality, it is a scratch card). You cannot pay such a card with a Czech credit card..
I would avoid Czech sellers, because they are often pretty scammers.. I buy those gift cards from ebay that are bought with stolen credits and then sell them here.. That's how I managed to create a US Account on iTunes 8.0 (Windows XP) without a redeem code, but when I open the activation link that I received by email, iTunes says "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (11111). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.”
I tried it "later" several times, unfortunately with the same negative result. Has this happened to any of you? Any ideas for a solution? Or should I wait and give it a try?

You certainly won't find them there, at least not the ones typically for the Czech market. But you can have two accounts, one for the CZ appstore and the other for the US one. At least that's how I feel.
